2010 uniforms

just a quick question how come with this year's uniforms that the only you could tell who was a qb was because the shoulder pads were sticking out why was that? all other nd uniforms and the tech fit that doesnt happen

I just want one game in these!!! Even if we change it up just a bit. Maybe cleat wraps or some hand warmers to add accent? Could be legit is all I am saying.

I think they wore those exact uniforms in 2007 against USC

I don't like the jerseys they wore against Miami in the Sun Bowl. Too tight and last names, just not my fancy. Plus, the font was really weird on the jersey as well.

I like it when they wear green, but I so "no, thanks" to that mustard yellow. The numbers and pants should match the gold helmets.

Green jerseys make me think of recent debacles such as:

2002 BC game

2005 Bush Push

2007 Anniversary Nightmare vs USC

The uniforms don't impact the play on the field. They have to "dress up" for every game, unless your suggestion is that they play naked so they aren't "distracted" by putting their uniforms on. It doesn't take extra effort to put on a green jersey rather than a blue one. I'm a fan of the green jerseys once every year or every other year.

I think you missed my point, which was gimmicky throw-back uniforms aren't necessary, except maybe for special occasions like the 07 USC game or Army game this year.

On a side note: Remember when NBC had their sideline reporter "investigate" the green jerseys in the BC game because ND fumbled 6 times, and they thought the jerseys were slicker than the normal ones? That was hilarious. Like the jerseys were made of kryptonite and really causing the fumbles.

They wore those minus the names for a few games at the end of the year. These jerseys help moisturr and help cut down on jersey tackles. It does make a difference at every position.

Well what is and is not necessary??

All a matter of opinion of course lol. I personally don't like them, but to each his own. Like someone said, it doesn't affect gameplay anyways, so I was just stating my take on them.

In your avatar pic, the helmet looks much shiner than the ones now. Seems like the newer helmets are more of a flat-gold finish instead of a glimmering gold.

Well I actually think the helmets are darker now than they were back then, but they do have less shine but they're still good imo.

I like the occasional use of the green jerseys. I like changing it up a little and the new green jerseys look cool. I say no to the yellow an understand the use of the tight jerseys.
The thing I hate the most is the names on the jerseys and for other teams the stickers on the helmets. You want you players to play like a team take the individuality out of the game as often as possible.

I could be wrong but if memory serves me the names have been on the jersey in several bowl games. Maybe as a perk to the players for making it to a bowl game.
