I might just have to go to that game in Ireland.
What's with connecticut being on our schedule till 2017, besides 2012? Are we trying to turn that into a rivalry game as well.
They had an extremely hard time getting the schedule filled for next year. Not sure why they let it wait for so long, but I am fine with the opponents they got. I live in Nenraska so i have to take the heat for ND scheduling all the time, even this year when NU basically won the SUn Belt conference with its first 3 of 4 games. Now who's laughing...........
2017? where did you find that schedule, thats a little ways away, Charlie Jr. could be our qb for that season.
We have an agreement to play x Big East teams over a certain number of year (may be 1 one year and 3 the next and none the third year, and then 2 the following) - my numbers are purely fabricated, however, it is an agreement that we play a certain number of games (x) over a certain number of years- the combination is left to us as long we complete the x in y. Now, UConn was our best bet at getting games either home or neutral - without losing a home and away.
...Cincy would be sweet too, play them at the Bengals stadium becuase there's is too small..
Ok, makes sense, I'd like to see us mix it up more, maybe a WVU game. Cincy would be sweet too, play them at the Bengals stadium becuase there's is too small..
Still confused by Western Michigan, seriously? How about bringing back Nebraska. Would love the chance to see them come to South Bend as their entourage is legendary (and virtually only wear skirts I might add).
Details about their entourage please?
Baylor in New Orleans would be a fun game to go to as well. Is this game at the Saints' stadium?

By the way Paul Brown Stadium is one of the best stadiums in the NFL. Every opposing fan always gives props on how nice the stadium actually is. .
They also rave about how polite the Bengals players when they the other team dominate them.
When they the other team dominate them.
If, on the other hand, we're determined to be credible on the national scene, and be taken seriously on that basis, well, let's face it - we're gonna have to schedule games against perennially top teams on a home and home basis, play half our games on the road like everyone else, and stop stacking the deck in our favor.
I guess we have to define what we want ND football to be. If it means lots of home games and great tailgate parties on crisp autumn afternoons on our beautiful campus with guaranteed winning seasons, then the athletic department is giving us everything for which we could possibly hope. Let's not knock them. Just in case you were wondering, Western Michigan, Tulsa, UConn, Nevada the service academies???....nope, those aren't the perennially top teams, nor are they teams picked to give us credibility....just wins. For me, personally, I like the former concept better than the latter - more fun - but I also don't whine about stuff like rankings. We don't belong in that discussion as long as we pursue the present policy.
