Its just that omar has spoken out, done radio shows, and taken pictures showing how 100% irish he is. And then all of a sudden, always like florida? It just sucks that the dead period has just started so that corwin can't get down there. Hopefully, he is still commited at the ESPN all american game so Braxton can help him remember why he commited to us. Not to mention Slaughter and Deion Walker helping out ND.

honestly, i dont think these rumors would have gotten this far if omar would just come out and say that theyre false. however he still has not odne this and has been "unreachable" and that truely worries me.

If that's true, then that makes a HUGE difference in my mind. Last year, if you'll remember, Trattou was totally upfront about the fact that he was visiting Florida, and ended up being really honest about why he decommitted. It was Greg Little who was just playing the Irish for the publicity, and was planning to go to UNC all along - he even got the Rivals guys to cover over it. I get the sense that Omar DEFINITELY won't do what Little did - if he's going to look elsewhere, he's not going to lie about it.

Then again, what do I know. Sheesh ... I go away for a day and this is what I come back to ......... :banghead2

I'm not sure if (Greg) Little's initial commitment to ND was genuine or not, but what I recall was that he basically played the Irish and pretended to be committed to them because it gave him more exposure and got him into the AAA game. But all along he was committed to UNC, and they were all working to keep it quiet. And then on NSD he just didn't fax in a letter ... real classy, you know?

Don't know how old the audio is on Blue and Gold, but on Armchair quarterbacks, he said that he was going to stick it out with the Irish and honor his commitment, this is at the time when his team was 10-0.

Yes this seems like a lot of freaking out over something so... un-corporeal. It's just a rumor as far as anyone knows. If he were going to actually visit UF, I'm sure he would have talked about it to Weis, who went to his state championship game unlike Urban. On one hand there is a rumor coming from the people who he would supposedly visit. On the other hand there are his statements about being '100% irish', pictures with fans, having visited ND, and any contact with other ND recruits. Seems like a bunch of BS.

When is the last time you heard those statements about him being 100% Irish? i think if we do not here from Hunter by the end of the week the rumors are true and if he visits Flordia he is gone...no reason to take a visit when you are commited unless you are having doubts!!!! Of all the people in this class to leave...Hunter to me is the #1 prospect in this class by far!!!!!!!!! I cannot believe no one has any inside info on this...if he is visiting Flordia someone will run there mouth soon!!!

I haven't seen the visit listed yet. When rivals lists other visits, usually they out Soft verbal in then. I am not a subscriber so I may not see everything.

Everyone needs to relax. Maybe Omar does take a visit to Fla. Maybe Omar even decommits and ends up at Fla. Is Omar the only commit the Irish have ? No, right now we have 22 commits, Omar is but one. Now I realize that alot of people think he is the most important commit. I don't, I think every commitment Charlie and the staff get are just as important. If you all remember what Aaron Taylor said at the banquet about the guys coming in have to believe in each other for the class to succeed. The last two classes that were brought in seem to believe in each other as well as themselves. This group of commits appears to be the same way. Will I be disappointed if Omar is not Irish ? Yes, but I will be extremely happy with the group that does come to South Bend to play for the Irish. We also have to remember that we have a young man who will be a Soph. next year by the name of Ian Williams who will in my opinion be a great NG. We also have Brandon Newman coming in. So lets relax and let this situation play itself out, it's a long way until signing day.
