Scout's overall #1 player. Got offered yesterday during visit. Loy added a CB on top of Wiltfong's.

Here's some reading from the '20 Master List:

1. Is it just me or does he look like Chase Claypool's little brother?

2. His father is from Chicago, a big ND fan, and basically told Wiltfong that if ND offers, his son might in-turn commit on the spot. I guess we'll see. I'd offer on the visit, no questions asked.

SUPER interesting story on his Dad. He wet to Howe Military less than an hour east of campus during the Holtz era. (Scored 1700 pts at Howe, Top 150ish in the history of Indiana HS hoops.) Played basketball at Tri-State U. (now Trine) near Fort Wayne. After school, ended up in Seattle and became the go to guy who detailed various Seahawk players cars. Did this for over 10 years. Through his connections with his now friends on the team (like Marcus Trufant & Marshawn Lynch), got a local sports talk radio gig. Flash forward to today, he's the co-host for John Clayton's daily ESPN Radio show in Seattle.

LOVE American Dream stories like these.

Strong Michiana connections. Has to be tight with Sav'ell Smalls, 2020 ND offer from Seattle who is one of the top 2-3 college ready player in the class.

I know if i'm Kelly on the hot seat, these are the kind of early commitments I push for and accept. Same with Pyne, Same with RP3. If it doesn't work out down the road because of grades or lack of development, things can always just fade away and move in different directions.

Will camp at ND this summer per Wiltfong

Made Wiltfong's Top 13 Offensive players at the Adida 7v7 NC's over Jake Smith and David Bell among others.

Crazy. I knew I recognized that name. I went to Howe Military with his Dad. Same class, same company/barracks.

He was a good kid. Hell of a ball player, he played varsity as a freshman which was unheard of.

Goddamit I hate that school. It was a nightmare.

Yup... I'm old! I'm now running the very real possibility of rooting for kids that have parents I went to school with...

Really think we should just abandon ship on this year's WRs and go all in for 2020. 2020 looks so good

I'm guessing this is a joke, right? I want to clarify because some people really believe things like that.

No, he's dead serious. One of his many gems when it comes to recruiting.

I believe this one was coupled with another in the Rodas thread. Take Rodas and force an upperclassmen to transfer.

It's really good stuff if you follow his posts.

Lyght visiting in-school today. https://247sports.com/college/notre...-the-state-of-Washington-a-priority-118430655

Love to see that the staff is making Washington a priority, based on all the great recruiting coups we've pulled off there. There was the time we almost got Foster Sarell, that time we almost Kyler Gordon, that time we almost got Jacob Eason.

Are you saying skip Gee Scott... a kid whose family is from Chicago & has N. Indiana ties?

Should they skip '20 CB Max Lenzy because his Dad is Global Marketing Mgr for Nike and ND's a UA school?

Gee Scott may very well come here. I'm mostly ranting out loud about the perennial decision to try recruiting top Washington talent, despite having basically no pipeline there and ending up with nothing to show for it year after year. Would love to proven wrong this time around.

I said the same thing about Georgia when the Irish went 2 for 72 after Tuitt through Derrik Allen... and one of the two was a punter.

Work the handful of Catholic schools HARD and let any public school kids come to you.

I think the feeling that the Irish were way out front has passed. Still in a good spot.

Seems like it. Really surprised he went on a Florida visit. Hopefully the Joe Wilkins/Isiah Robertson moves don't hurt ND getting good WR's in 2020 and beyond.

Gee Scott shouldn't worry about anybody... and I'll guess he doesn't. He's Michael Floyd 2.0. He's like Austin or ASB, he plays at some level from Day 1.

Washington is probably the best spot for him right now. They've got a QB room full of slingers and a coach that will use them plus there's no Austin or ASB to share targets with freshman year.

I think you're going to see ND overrecruit the WR position in 2020. If Daniel Jackson wants in, take him. If Jordan Johnson says yes, come on down. If Gee Scott wants to be a part of it, then absolutely. I think AJ Henning is RB/slot anyway, but ND does lose Miles Boykin, Chase Claypool, and Chris Finke after the 2019 season so they can afford to take 3-4 guys. I also think if Javon McKinley & Isaiah Robertson have been passed up at that point, ND won't have a problem with numbers because they'll probably be gone.
