When the ball is in the air and heading more than 5 yards down the field ; I'm excited and feel like something likely good could happen....only if its heading to Chris Tyree. (*Evans isn't playing anymore / Faison borderline)

I didn't think he'd do much at WR; but I've been impressed.

Hate to post this seeing the state of the board and program the last few weeks, but Tyree may not return next season.

From the McAlister article: College football transfer portal: Best fits for Boise State WR Eric McAlister

"McAlister is sure to be a hot commodity in the transfer market this offseason and sources tell 247Sports that Tyree could join him, which would make matters more dire for the Fighting Irish."

This sounds like one writer’s total speculation and is not worth discussing.

He's not saying "I think Tyree is leaving so they should pursue McAliser". He's using his sources, whoever they are.

Is there some connection between Tyree and McAlister (who is from Texas and a year younger than Tyree). Why would they be a package deal?

They’re not.

The article is saying that Tyree may join him in the portal. It’s oddly worded.

A thousand guys could “join” McAlister in the portal. Sure, I suppose Tyree could be one of them. Or he could be a captain for us next year. Either way.

It’s a national writer with no connections to ND or Tyree, and his “sources” say he “could” go with no specifics. His analysis is worth about as much as Koons

Tyree might decide to move on but if it’s not coming from any writers on the ND beat it’s about as worthwhile as any other piece of clickbait. Use some critical thinking man

I’m just clarifying the article. I’m not backing him up, thought that was pretty clear given my lack of opinion.

I like Chris but he doesn't need to be returning punts anymore.
He just had the first punt return TD since CJ Sanders lol.

Allegedly, per announcers, sun that time of day in that direction (same as punt he let bounce).is brutal.

No excuses and Notre Dame should have had a plan for it. But let's not act like it's a reoccurring shit show.

Ya invite him back get him off the PR unit. One fluke return doesn’t make up for all the lost yardage and shaky hands

His return for the TD is the only good return on the year. I believe the Louisville game he dove at the one punt. He has let way to many punts go inside the 20.

Tyree is almost playing scared.

Season goes to trash with a third loss and everything and everyone is under the microscope.
Freeman - In over his head
Parker - In over his head
Tyree - terrible at punt returns
Fisher - Can't stand up to the pass rush
Carrell - Terrible
Flores - Too slow
Stuckey - Can't develop
Bertrand - Isn't Manti Teo
Swarbrick - Too cheap
Merriweather - Isn't Randy Moss
Hartman - Isn't living up to expectations (walk on water)
Kiser - Not Jaylon Smith
Spindler - Now you see him, now you don't
Rudolph - Line should be much better

I'm tired of typing. Someone else can pick it up from here

And those are just the opinions of our single most voluminous poster. You can figure out which one that is.

Irish#1 - Doesn't really care if ND ever gets to #1 when the season ends

Your satire would be more appreciated if most of the above weren't true

Just because people aren't constantly criticizing doesn't mean they care less than you. I have no idea how old you are, but I would guess your dad wasn't even born when I became an Irish fan, but my point is this. Focus on where you believe the real problem is and offer constructive criticism instead of nitpicking every mistake and posting something negative in damn near every thread.

Apparently my satire is appreciated by Me2.

Yes sir it is. And my point has been made by the response you received. Like you, I’ve been an Irish fan for many decades and am very disappointed in the results thus far this year but don’t feel the need to tee off on every single issue and then continue to go back to the same points over and over and over again.
