On the post game II pod, they talked about how Freeman challenged him after that drop and he responded by get after it in practice and working to get better at the deep ball. The kid is everything you want as a member of your team.

Also, unless i missed it, we've never run out with 4 or 5 wide empty set with only WRs/TEs, then brought tyree into the backfield for a run. We haven't taken advantage of a WR that has been a RB playing a good bit at ND the last 3 years. Just an opportunity to give our running game more favorable opportunities.

Teams are covering tyree with a DB, if you run an empty set with one of our RBs, they're getting covered by a LB, so the numbers aren't as great when you could shift a RB from out wide into the backfield vs tyree who is being covered like a true WR.

Is a #1 option going to transfer? It definitely won’t be a grad transfer. It would have to be a freshman and wouldn’t expect a frosh to transfer if they are their team’s top option.

Ha, i like our running game when its our 5 oline vs 6 defenders, and one of those 6 probably being a DB. I don't like our oline blocking the run when it's 7 on 9. Way too inconsistent and puts us into 2nd and third and long when we get a rush for no gain.

Freeman even touched on it stating how we get 15 yards on a play call, then the same one we get just a few, he wants 15 on every play call. That's not happening obviously, he knows that. We just have too many runs for nothing with a back like estime vs good teams.
