High school has been producing decent D1 talent, glad to see staff is knocking on these doors. Since TAMU joined SEC, competition has really ramped up for the high school pool across the state.

I was just opening his pages for a profile and re-watching his film.

He reminds me of Clarence Lewis. I like his film a lot. I had him as the #3 uncommitted CB for ND behind Manning & Henderson and I wouldn't even have Manning on the list if it wasn't for the talk of him OVing.

I was concerned with his speed but I just blew up that tweet on the big screen and clocked it at 4.42, 4.43, 4.44, 4.42. So that's quick enough for sure. He doesn't look like a burner on tape and his track times from last season were not what you dream about from a 5-10 CB but he produces at DB and in the return game in the same conference Nana played in.

You actually have to slow down the frame. People on the Rivals boards confirmed it was actually a 4.57. I'll take it either way. His film is very good and I think he would make an excellent nickel corner or even a field corner

I realize he lives just outside Fort Worth, but the guy has offers from Notre Dame, Michigan and Princeton and he's waiting on TCU? If that's the case I wouldn't hold my breath on this one.

FWIW, EJ mentioned on last week's podcast that Michigan and some of the other bigger names that offered him have since filled up at the position so the offers are no longer committable. EJ at rivals loves this kid. He covered him a lot when he was covering UT. Says this kid has improve leaps and bounds. His film shows a good nickel prospect IMO

For sure. Many do. And if that’s the case he’s going to be a tough pull. So hopefully there’s a four-star, Foskey-caliber, DB out there for us somewhere because of this one’s waiting for the dream offer from TCU, he probably ain’t it.

For the most part yes. But, being able to press also throws off the timing of the routes...

That's what I noticed as well when I watch the films. Then I realized it isn't great catching the receiver 40 yards down field after he makes the catch.

Also with a better QB, releasing the ball quicker and on target would have pretty much created a TD on every pass.

unless the slot receiver is inverted they are usually off line of scrimmage which doesnt bode well for press/jam.

However, theres a reason this kid isnt a high 4/5*, and its because he has things to work on. technique can be taught. Speed and recovery isnt exactly taught.

Apparently not cause if they get a legit 4 star safety prospect, they could be in the two deep in the next fall camp. ND’s got 3 scholarship safeties coming back and maybe four if Houston Griffith shifts over. That’s silly that ND can’t even get guys to come to town to play right away.

I think this is in the best interest of both parties. He can go to Cal where the expectations are lower and we can hopefully identify some late talent (if we have another good season).
