It’s kind’ve a joke that this kid is still rated a 3*. His junior tape screams impact player at the next level. He’s the type of 3* that ends up at WVU or Baylor in years past and puts up video game numbers.

Seriously...any info on if he will be getting a bump by any recruiting service in the near future?

Driskell thinks rivals may bump him slightly but he did not perform as well as his tape suggests when he was at camps. If you watch his camp clips he drops a few passes and does not get separation the way you would like. All this Driskell points out.

Yeah, that's not a film anyone should see. lol

When I watched it last week I thought, Rival Husker's knows he's going to ND so they spliced together an interview that'll make their fans feel better about missing out on him.

Yeah he did not have a good showing at all. Hope that doesn't happen in the future . . . if he goes to ND lol.

Someone asked about his speed, is he as fast as Henning?

All I can say is he didn't run the 100m or 200m individually and Nebraska HS times are nothing too impressive.

The 2 runners Burke HS put into the 100m state meet ran 10.9 and 11.2. You'd think they ran those two because they are the fastest at the event, no?

Hoepfully he's like Will Fuller and is football fast over track fast.

He doesn't seem to be crazy fast from his tape. Only one play made me say okay he's got some speed. He seems more of the ATH recruit to me. Out of all the WR's ND is going after he's the one that really makes me think he can play safety as well. It'll be interesting to see how many WR's ND takes this year and which one will be starting off with more of the ATH role rather than a true WR.

He’s still a take with Brunelle on board, right?

Yes. Many believe he may be one of ND’s next 2 commits. I think they are still looking for 2 WR.

RS SR Javon McKinley
SR Isaiah Robertson
SR Michael Young
JR Kevin Austin
RS SO Braden Lenzy
RS SO Micah Jones
RS SO Lawrence Keys III
RS SO Joe Wilkins
RS FR Cam Hart
RS FR Kendall Abdur-Rahman
FR Jordan Johnson
FR Jay Brunelle

I think if Xavier Watts would commit, then they’d effectively shut down WR recruiting aside from Jalen McMillan or an all American flip candidate. If/when Xavier Watts commits, ND would have 13 scholarship WR’s for 2020 which is absurd. That’s too many scholarships devoted to one position group. Obviously there should be some attrition from the position group but 13 is more than enough to withstand attrition in the future. I think they’d only take Jalen McMillan or his more talented peers if they wanted in after Watts.

Attrition for sure. McKinley feels unlikely for a 5Y. Gotta think one of those RS sophs will switch positions (or programs) for playing time. And feel like I’ve seen KAR suggested as a possible RB candidate.
Either way unless they get a total stud, taking a fourth WR in this class seems unnecessary.

2015... USC v ND. First possession and the Irish are down 7. Will Fuller burns Adore Jackson for a TD! BURNS!!

In all fairness, and with the benefit of hindsight, I think Will was "track fast" if he wanted to be. Regardless, a special player for the Irish and I will never forget the Spanish announcers watching his game.

Cheers and Go Irish!!

Yeah if you run 4.3’s you’re just fast. Doesn't really matter what sport. I’m sure he would have had some great track numbers if that was his thing as well.

Seems like we've lost some momentum in recruiting. Maybe the staff is keeping space for late commits? So many options it seemed just a month or two ago is now dwindling to very few.

Be interested to here if there is an explanation for the pick. Xavier Betts says that he thinks he ends up at ND.

Would be quite the miss, all things considered.

CB from Wiltfong to Nebraska

Future cast by the Nebraska guy on 6/24 as well. Pretty strange how things have unfolded in recruiting here recently, but that's recruiting. So if we don't land Watts then what? Nixon as a WR? Kinda of funny we had thought we were going to have this dream class at WR in 2020 and it looks like we may only get one lol. Luckily that one is Jordan Johnson.

The Jackson kid just picked Minn over Nebraska. Maybe Nebraska turned up the heat here.

The heat from Nebraska has always been there. This is one of their top targets overall. Highly doubt Jackson's decision plays any role in this.

He's already gone.

ND losing any single recruit never surprises me but if you told me ND would have landed just Johnson and Brunelle after being in such good shape for:

Watts
Henning
McMillan
Redding
Scott
Jackson
Robinson

I'd have giggled. Well who's laughin'now Crusader???

Some of these recruitments are getting weird in a hurry. Seems like there is a lot of pressure, nationally, on these kids to commit.

With official visits being pushed up, the recruiting schedule was always going to change. Unless you're a blue chip recruit, it seems like you have to lock your spot up by June at the latest if you want to go to the school of your choice. After then, it's a matter of who still has space.

Passing on Redding was a comical mistake and many of us called it at the time. How this class is rounding out reminds of '12 all over again... small class, got way too picky too early, and then it imploded close to signing day after ND didn't get it done on the field.

Let's hope this one finishes better.

I was pretty skeptical early on our WR board. I get it that we were in good standing with many, but given our WR history, just seemed way too pie in the sky.

Personally, I'm happy enough just to have a 5 star, top 5 guy like Johnson. It's a rarity for us.

If we turned away, or slow rolled some of the guys as reported, I think it's silly. Not sure how many WRs we are planning on taking, but some of the guys should have been a take while holding onto "a" spot for others.
