Nothing new to add in this post but it boggles my mind how we are continually long shots for these guys with our OL. I know we haven't blown up the NFL with our RB products but that's as much a problem with incoming talent and it didn't stop Weis from getting the yearly offensive freak of nature.

I can't even imagine how fun it'd be to go into a ND game knowing we had a 5-star RB that actually turned out.

Greg Bryant never really turned out, Dexter was close but not rated a 5-star (nor was he a 5-star in the end IMO).

I'd feel like the day HD tv became a thing over SD. That's how excited I would be on Saturday mornings.

You're not concerned he's the same size as Kyren Williams?

I don't believe he's the same size as Kyren. I don't put much stock in what their self-reported height/weight is, that's never accurate. You can see on film he doesn't look tiny compared to others.

He's also a 5-star with offers from: Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, and Clemson. Kyren didn't receive any of those offers.

He's probably somewhere between 15-25lbs heavier than Kyren Williams. In terms of height I think they are both small, but they seem like different dudes in a lot of aspects in how they play the RB position. I only watched the highlights on HUDL so I'm not positive, but they seem very different.

I do think there's a difference in height. When I see Lloyd, my gut reaction is "I'm watching a running back". When I watched Kyren's, my first thought was "holy short".

Huh? He's listed as 5'10 200 and 5'9 206 by Rivals and 247 respectively. Kyren weighed in at 5'9 200. I'd bet his hudl of 5'10 210 is about as accurate as Dexter's self reported 3.9 shuttle time, lol.

Pretty hilarious that the difference is maybe an inch and probably 5 or so lbs. but that 5 star rating sure looks good. Kids a baller no doubt, just funny there are no size reservations with this one.

I don't see him and first think "wow, short". I did that when I was 4 seconds into Kyren's film.

Then there's those Bama, Clemson, Georgia, etc. offers that are also nice. His rating isn't really part of this, IMO.

Kyren is a good pick up for ND. He'll be a play maker. But Lloyd is noticeably bigger IMO, his film is more impressive (Kyren's is still impressive), and the offers speak for themselves.

Yea, his 5 star rating had nothing to do with it. Moving on.

Way to roll the grenade then "move on" lol. It's easier for me to say "5 star" with the implication I mean "the real deal" rather than spell out "I hope ND gets a RB who has all of the major offers, great size, speed, acceleration, and looks to be a top 3 back on film IMO".

Quit being so nitpicky.

We get it, you love Kyren. I like Lloyd more based on his film and the Mount Rushmore of offers (Clemson, Bama, OSU, Georgia).

I still like Kyren and am glad ND took him.

Actually moving on.

If Lance Taylor gets a running back of this caliber in his first year, then start putting up a statue of him outside the stadium.

I'll give Notre Dame <1% chance of landing him.

Not seeing the 5*'s here. I'd take Bijan Robinson over this kid by a lot. Kyren as well. Not saying I wouldn't take him, but pretty much only because everyone who knows what they are talking about appears interested.

Marshawn lists all the schools that are recruiting him hard and includes ND. Friedman then goes on to ask specifics about the other several schools he named but not ND, lol. Non-bias reporting right there.
