Ideally, ND can have those three as their wide receiver class because they are the offered guys that ND has a solid shot at. Also, AJ Henning I think will be a RB/WR in the mold of a Theo Riddick. His primary recruiter is Autry Denison which tells me he’s probably part of the RB board for ND. Curtis Jacobs from Maryland is listed at WR but I think he’s being recruited as a big safety (Rover eventually). That leaves these 3 as the realistic ND targets at WR right now. Obviously more prospects will pop up on the WR board including Collin Sullivan. My guess for the staff not offering him is maybe they think he’ll commit quickly and they want to make sure they give time to Johnson, Scott, and Jackson. He also might not be good enough but he does look extremely talented to me. Not sure. Either way, Notre Dame’s WR recruiting is in a really good place right now for the 2020 class.

The Kansas wideout has made multiple visits to South Bend over the last year and hasn’t shied away from saying how high the Irish sit on his list. Notre Dame wide receivers coach Del Alexander has made a strong impression on Jackson. Pyne has also reached out to Jackson to recruit hm. Jackson is the cousin of current Irish running back Jafar Arrmstrong and was in the stadium to see Armstrong have success in the opener against Michigan. Jackson suffered a season-ending knee injury, but was assured by Kelly that his scholarship was still good, something that meant a lot to him. He also has offers from Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, Iowa State and Texas A&M among others, but the Irish are the clear favorites at this point.
Things trending away from Notre Dame and towards Wisconsin. For Notre Dame being considered the leader, this recruitment was really quiet. I wonder what changed? I remember when we were in real good shape for a class of Gee Scott, Daniel Jackson, AJ Henning, and Jordan Johnson. Now we're down to....Henning and Johnson.
And I don't think this is even close to an accurate representation of the WR board.
The whole board? Of course not. I'm talking about when around last summer when a class of Jackson, Scott, Henning, and Johnson looked legit.
You said now it looks like Johnson and Henning, when it doesn't look like that at all right now.
Rivals West Coast analyst thinks we have a slight lead for John Humphreys. Justin Robinson with an upcoming visit, big time target and quality fit. Most believe we lead or should lead after Jalen McMillan visits for Spring game. Staff is also fairly high on Xavier Watts who has visited before and will visit again.
From the original group of Henning, Scott, Jackson, and Johnson...it does. That was the whole point of my original post. I’m sorry if you got confused.
But, yes, I heard that news about McMillan and Humphreys. Hopefully that momentum keeps going
Yea, definitely confused. Seems like a fairly irrelevant thing to track. 4 names on a list of 23.
I get where he's coming from + I didn't take it as he was complaining.
It's like last year's DT board. A group of 4 looked to have separated themselves from the pack and in the end, ND ended up with just one.
And here comes zelezo vlk to throw some hate towards Madison
in 3...2...1. Go!
