I’m kind of on the fence about SDE recruiting right now. With Ovie moving to Drop and Nana taking reps at SDE, plus the expectation that Foskey starts there as well, that’s 3 SDE’s in 19’ and 20’. Taking 4 seems like overkill. Especially when we consider that Ade and Jamir will probably be back next year. I’m kind of thinking it should be McGregor or bust if both Nana and Foskey are SDE’s.
Hold that spot for a BPA down the road. Extra DB, maybe DT (once we know how Franklin and Spears have recovered), etc.

With 15 scholarships projected to come back, the staff needs to be picky. They also have a lot of versatile athletes at SDE and Drop that can move around based on who they pick up in recruiting. If they somehow landed McGregor and Mills then maybe the quicker of Nana and Foskey move to Drop after a full season of training. I think there’s a need for an awesome Drop recruit and after that it is pretty much whatever they can get to commit that they think is good. I hope they don’t take guys like Cam Large, Deonte Craig and Ben Yurosek right now because they are good but they don’t have a lot of spots left and they should be shooting for the stars with their last 1-2 spots.
