There's a $hit ton of recent DB follows by the staff. Both Rivals and 247 ran abbreviated lists of who to watch for but no one shared them.

Tyson McWilliams is a kid I've liked for a long time, Lucky confirmed he's on the list.

There's a lot going on but we aren't hearing about it on IE.

This site has hit rock bottom on recruiting news.

Greene would be a nice get for safety. Justin Robinson is another to keep an eye on. I’m curious if they’ll be able to give Dontae Manning a free trip south bend this fall for a game. He’s got 3 OV’s left to use and hopefully he could come check out ND. There are also coaches who will be fired and recruits that can be poached. An example, although I have no earthly idea of the merits to it, would be Keshawn Lawrence out of Nashville, TN I’d call him everyday and stay on him cause I think Pruitt will get fired from Tennessee and then there might be an opening to get him on campus and at least try. That’s just an example and there’s not even a thought that he’d decommit or listen to ND but it’s just an example of dudes who will be moving around before signing day. There’s still a lot of time and the staff has a real good base set for this class!

This is very typical of the board when it’s football season and that includes myself. I don’t follow recruiting nearly as close right now as I do in the spring and summer. We got games to win!

Todd Lyght has two recent follows. Dontae Manning and Jalen Kimber. Honestly shocked he hasn’t followed them before, unless he unfollowed earlier. Terry Joseph has Wisconsin commit, Max Lofy. Jordan Dunbar, a Rice commit, was recently followed by Brian Polian. That’s a couple of concrete follows to watch from the Twitter-verse.

Was originally planning to announce his decision in Dec but may move that timeline up. Or he may commit and then wait to announce it. Sounds like he could be a silent or could be a silent soon. He’s a physically impressive young man but a very raw football player.

IIRC we have a starting safety who had a similar description.

Anyone with film eval skills taken a look at his senior tape so far? I remember over the summer many weren't that impressed with his junior film.

Also, anyone have any idea where he sits on our board? Is this a plan B guy we plan on taking because of numbers need and athletic potential more than current skill or is the staff higher on him than some in the message board world?

He's one of the options the staff have identified that currently fits what we need. He's also showing interest. In order to develop players and not have a gap, we have to sign players like Henderson.

Honestly, he's the type of player we've whiffed on in the past: someone identified late after missing on earlier big names. We can't afford roster gaps and he gives us another wildcard who isn't expected to start right away but could turn into a player for us down the road.

If you guys haven't seen Ramon Henderson run, watch his film.

Curious your thoughts afterwards.

There were a few instances of him playing D on his junior film. He may be better than I thought originally. Watch his junior film. He moves his legs faster when he is running with a WR when he plays corner, than when he is on offense. As a WR he has such long strides. Definitely a track guy. Not sure what his best position would be on D. I actually think he may be used best as a press corner. He is so long and can match a WR stride for stride. Safety doesn't seem to be the position translates his skills well IMO.

only a few clips from this year....the film looks weird in terms of him being slowed down however you can clearly see him just pulling away from people w/ ease and with him having the 100m time posted he is plenty fast enough

In the first highlight on the clip he seems to know if he goes full speed off the line, the QB won't be able to get it down field to him so he just goes half speed until the ball arrives.

He's got those Miles Boykin strides where he just eats up yards though it looks like he's going slow.

Just curious, do you think he grows into safety at the next level? Adds 20-30 pounds of muscle?

I think our only DB commit who has a chance of even being a contributor is Lewis.

Also, Ramon was bumped to a 4 star 90 rating at 247.

Does this immediately make him a better player?

At last check, it was ND's to lose. Sounds like it's ND, UCLA, and Utah as a final 3 with Washington trying to make a late push.

Is it pretty much assumed that he's signing with the good guys?

He's from California's Central Valley and Oklahoma is still a name lingering.

Refer to your recruiting handbook about these factors and then remember what they say about the word ASSUME.

Dude looks even faster than before. I'd give Lea Wilkens, KAR & a '21 DB to be named later for Henderson on O. Johnson, Austin working the entire field with Henderson doing go routes right at the FS is a recipe for success. Phil will 100% have to play, Henderson is out of Books range in 4.3 something seconds.

In all seriousness, pay attention to his running and when he grabs that Will Fuller gear. You can noticeably see it. He does it so smoothly too, without the look of putting more effort into it which was a Fuller trademark. Ask Adoree.

I see the italics but just to clarify, 247 is reporting they aren't a part of his "final" group at the present.

Sorry. I had to force myself into putting it in italics.

I've got Stage 4 Fresanoma from too much Central Valley Sun.
