Another Auto-Offer. Should have been 10 months ago. What makes this a head scratcher is Lyght is your DB coach and works TX.

You can only hope it was 100% BVG's fault and the new staff had to hit the ground running and stock '17 first and get started on '18.

Bishop Dunne has to be treated as an affiliate team member, cuz technically it is.

Will be at the Invasion per ISD

Best DB we have ever had working out at the II

Jamie from ISD thinks he's the best prospect we've ever had at the II

Really? They think he is a better prospect than Cowart was? Wasn't he the #1 prospect the time he came?

Foster Sarrell, Robert Beal, JT Daniels, ASB AND OSB, Jamaree Salyor, Daelin Hayes....lot of good prospects (I'm sure I forgot some) have been to II and Jamie (who's opinion I respect) thinks Williams is the best prospect of them all.

That gets me excited. Hope we give him something to think about.

I believe he's the number 3 overall player for '19 on one of the sites.

Cowart hasn't really panned out and seems a little overrated coming out of HS

This is similar to your statement on Redfield. It doesn't matter what happened post HS. How was Cowart thought of when he was at II?

With that said, Williams is an elite talent so I have no issue if Jamie thinks he's a better prospect than others that have been at II.

A big season from Watkins certainly couldn't hurt here. Houston Griffith called him a baller after one of his viewings of practice, let's hope that's true.

Doesn't matter if he's the best ever or not. The key is landing the kid. How strong is his interest?

Sad for his brother but hopefully this emphasizes the importance of the degree

flip side, kid thinks he needs the best school possible to prepare him for the pro's now that family's eggs are in one basket

Wiltfong with a CB for the Irish.

I think there's a good chance Brian Williams could be a college CB like Jeffery Okudah. Okudah started as the #1 S but ended up a CB. Williams plays a lot of Nickle along with FS. Anyways, having another elite FS would be awesome. There's no guarantee Derrik Allen will be a FS his entire career. He's 6-2, 211 last report. He keeps packing on the weight and he's still 15 months away from his first game in South Bend.

What do you think, Crus? I think Jamie Uyeyama of ISD said that Brian is the best prospect they've had at Irish Invasion. Is he on that level? If so and if he signs on NSD '19, is he the biggest get since Jaylon?

He's close. He's not Jaylon Smith level of prospect but not many beside Jadaveon Clowney have been. I'm not sure he's a lock as a safety. He could be the next Jeffrey Okudah and end up being classified as a CB. He plays nickle/FS for his team because that's where he has the most impact. That may not be the same case in college if he doesn't out grow CB like Derrik Allen did.

If he signs in '19 he'll probably fall in between Jaylon and Redfield in '13. He's at #12 OA right now, I don't see how that changes much. Even though he's not currently labeled a 5 star as Koon brought up it's just semantics. #12 IS a 5 star, even on ESPN where only 15 make the cut. Look at the tape, he's a 5 star even if he's a 4.6 flat guy.

Click on the Composite Safety or Natl Comp ranking that says NA and you'll get the 247 Comp right now even though 247 hasn't officially released it yet.

Here's the Safety Comp score:

Brian Williams
Bishop Dunne (Dallas, TX)
S 6-0 185 0.9956

He's a 5 star, just hasn't been crowned yet.

Got it, thanks. That's weird for 2 reasons. 1) it's not listed, but I guess whatever. 2) If he's not a 5-star on rivals, scout, or 247, how's he a composite 5-star?

He's #12 on 247. He's #42 on Scout (if you count from the top) He's somewhere between #6 and #22 on Rivals.

That's a Comp 5 Star.
