Scheduled to be on campus today. I hope he showered... <strike>twice</strike>... three times.

This article says he will be at ND from the 16th-18th on an OV.

Palmetto Recruiting: Emerald TE Deal set to visit Auburn, Notre Dame, Ohio State | Sports | indexjournal.com

Emerald TE Luke Deal has set an official visit to Auburn for April 28. He was Michigan over the weekend and has also been to NC State. He will head to Notre Dame for an official visit April 16-18 and visit Ohio State officially April 20th. He’s been to Clemson unofficially and the Tigers also are a major factor with him.

Did not know it was an OV or that he'd be on campus for parts of 3 days. A little more serious than I anticipated.

4/7 - NC State
4/14 - Michigan
4/17 - Notre Dame
4/21 - Ohio State
4/28 - Auburn

Taking all 5 OV's in quick succession. What are people's thoughts on him? Is he in the Ethan Rae/Jude Wolfe category? Is he a big time prospect? Don't know much about him other than it seems like he wants to get this process over with quickly.

My guess and I've spent a total of 10 minutes on him including the profile build.

Taking 5 Swag-OV's and then committing to Clemson.

im always more suspicious of the "ill take all my visits in the fall" types, that just screams to me that they are interesting in being a tourist rather than it actually playing into their decision.

IMO, this. Greenwood is less than an hour from Clemson. The only thing I see not working in their favor is how they use the TE relative to the others on his list. I see very little chance he leaves the state. I know nothing though.

Lol, he was given an 80 on ESPN this week. Then 247Sports proceeds to move him from a 90 to an 87. Like seriously, wtf is going on??? The exact same thing happened with Ajavon when he was about to commit to ND. I don’t get it.

It doesn't happen all the time, but it sure seems like it. Last year, Phil and Derrick Allen had drops but then Shayne Simon, Jack Lamb, and Jason Ademiola all jumped. I think there may be a conspiracy.

Too many worry warts on this board.

Interesting for sure. Greenwood is not a place I ever figured we would get a kid's interest.

There’s no conspiracy. Every fanbase says the same thing when their recruits drop in the rankings.

And I think that is the best way to describe it. And, it's pretty obvious.

Agreed.....I do believe that Bama or OSU would achieve a higher recruiting ranking with ND's class just based on....well if Saban/Meyer think they are legit, who am I to argue.

Now it wouldn't be wildly different, but some guys would get slight bumps that they probably wouldn't with ND or any other P5 team.

Texas was and is still is getting the benefit of the doubt, a full decade after they stop recruiting great classes.

I think a fair comparison to this is how the C'Bo Flemister and Matthew Baldwin ratings went down. Baldwin's biggest offer was UNC and he was a previous Colorado St. commit. Commits to OSU, gets evaluated, and receives a fairly significant bump. And just to be clear, I'm not saying it was or wasn't justified, but here's the other side of it. Then, C'Bo Flemister was a GT commit, OV'd to Tenn., and then ended up picking ND on signing day. All of that took place over 2 months, and he never even received an evaluation, until it was requested. And that is in there own words. If he was an OSU commit, would it really have played out that way. And the end result of the ranking isn't of concern, it's that they just treated the importance of these two situations vastly different.

Really what difference does it make?
