Opened as the #7 OT and #73 OA on 247.

Top rated Illinois player.

Adding a lot of solid B1G offers plus Arkansas & TCU.

Demetric Warren with a CB to Northwestern.

I'd like to have Keegan, Quinn Carroll, Doug Nester, John Olmstead and Darnell Wright fighting over the 2-3 OT spots HH will have in '19.

Got 4 CB's from the UM analysts and just read in a comment section that he may have committed with Karlaftis today.

Interesting reading on Keegan today.

Wiltfong CB'd him to Wisconsin. He had 4 old Michigan CB's and a lone Northwestern CB.

The other thing is 247 shows ND as WARM along with Wiscy, UM and Iowa. They've all offered and ND of course hasn't. So I check up on him and he's got a ton of follows both way with various staff members and all of the analysts.

Has there been any info slip out on him? Looks like a good OG prospect... maybe RT. He had early interest in ND and has been on campus a couple of times including Irish Invasion last summer.

Would be surprised at an offer. A developmental kid that will be a good player down the line. Not sure Notre Dame needs a developmental kid that is likely a guard at Notre Dame.

Really hope this kid gets an offer.

Tough to get 3 Top OT's unless one accepts OG as a future profession like Aaron Banks.

But if HH is telling you you're better off at OG, it'd be tough to look him in the eye and disagree. Dude's a prophet.

UGA offered today. Wow. That changes the optics on his offer list significantly, and it was shaped up pretty well prior to that.

ND has offered two players from IL, Bargy and the kid from Edwardsville. They could offer Keegan and be done with The Land of Lincoln as far as I'm concerned. I'm on the fence about the RB from Quincy.

I'm curious to see what happens with Keegan and ND. Keegan looks like a big guard to me all the way in college. I'm wondering what Quinn will do here, if anything.

Obviously HH wasn't high on him. I'm not sure the UGA offer changes how I'd look at a kid who had a Bielema offer a year ago. When you have Iowa, Wiscy, MSU, PSU and Ark + Duke and NW, 99% of the time you are on ND's hit list if their OL coach likes you.

In regards to who else should be on ND's board from IL.

1. Forget Bargy

Pool A:
Jirehl Brock
Jermaine Baker

Pool B:
Tyler Nubin - might be Pool A along with Billingsley
Jahleel Billingsley

Pool C:
Duke Olges = if they take 2 TE's in '19, he's the #2 TE. Has SDE flexibility.
Fabian McCray
Nick Brecker

Watch closely:
Jacardia Wright
Khali Saunders as a Rover
Joe Thompson
Armani Dixon
Dave Monnet if he develops physically
JJ Guedet if they can afford a project OT

...and then there's the ND analyst's love for Michael Love

The coach from Iowa Western CC disagrees.

...and that's why he's in the watch column. I can't put him in the Bargy column because I never underestimate what a nun can accomplish given a year and a premium birch ruler.

Your first line is pretty dang accurate. For ND though, I'd say if he's not there now, he ain't happening. That's just what I was told last time I inquired.

No doubt that's currently the case. There's a reason he doesn't have even 1 FCS offer at this point while possessing P5 talent

If we're talking about recruiting, present day, Georgia is at the top of the national conversation. It's a kid from Crystal Lake, IL getting an offer from an SEC team that played for the National Championship a month ago. It might not be a commitable offer, but it's a talking point.

I'm not stressing a great deal about Illinois' 2019 class. ND seems to be focusing their efforts elsewhere right now, and rightfully so. They may or may not offer Keegan, but aside from him, all these other guys would probably have to camp at ND to get offers. As they should.

I'm interested to see what OL offers go out from here. Hiestand was very selective and it worked quite well for him. How Jeff Quinn approaches evaluation and offers will be interesting.

Totally not taking academics into consideration. This list would be offered prospects, prospects from the region, and/or prospects who have visited and been interested in ND. Prospects in bold are followed by Jeff Quinn on Twitter.

.9937 4* Devontae Dobbs - MI - 3h - No Offer - 6/24/16 & 11/19/16 & 2/20/17

.9875 5* Darnell Wright - WV - 6h40m - No Offer - Never Visited
.9806 4* Tyler Johnson - TX - FAR - OFFERED - 11/19/16
.9748 4* Logan Brown - MI - 2h - No Offer - 9/17/16 & 10/21/17 (WISCONSIN)
.9716 4* Doug Nester - WV - 6h30m - No Offer - Never Visited (OHIO ST)
.9704 4* Quinn Carroll - MN - 7h50m - OFFERED - 4/2/17 & 10/21/17
.9695 4* Nolan Rumler - OH - 4h15m - OFFERED - 10/29/16 (MICHIGAN)
.9693 4* Harry Miller - GA - FAR - OFFERED - Never Visited
.9504 4* Caeden Wallace - NJ - FAR - No Offer - 11/19/16
.9457 4* Trevor Keegan - IL - 3h10m - No Offer - 6/18/16 & 4/2/17 & 10/21/17
.9329 4* John Olmstead - NJ - FAR - OFFERED - 6/23/17 & 11/18/17
.9241 4* Bryan Hudson - KY - 5h - OFFERED - 10/15/16 & 11/4/17
.9197 4* Danielson Ike - MO - FAR - No Offer - 11/18/17
.9181 4* Anthony Bradford - MI - 2h5m - No Offer - 10/21/17
.9126 3* Bryce Benhart - MN - FAR - OFFERED - Never Visited
.9111 4* Tyler Endres - IA - 6h10m - No Offer - Never Visited (IOWA)
.9073 4* Tanner Bowles - KY - 5h30m - No Offer - 10/21/17
.9062 4* Zeke Correll - OH - 4h30m - OFFERED - 10/28/17
.9031 4* Jackson Lampley - TN - 6h45m - No Offer - Never Visited (TENNESSEE)
.8728 3* Andrew Kristofic - PA - 5h35m - OFFERED - Never Visited
NR NR Saleem Wormley - DE - FAR - OFFERED - Never Visited

First thing which I mentioned a few months back was that ND did a fantastic job getting the regional guys on campus. Many many of the big time players in the midwest have been on campus. Harry Hiestand was selective in his offers, but ND got a lot of them on campus which can only be a good thing. I think ND is definitely the leader for a few guys. By getting Jarrett Patterson, ND has 11 scholarship guys coming back for 2019 (10+1 because Ruhland is RS SR). So 4-5 guys would be plenty which is a solid number and not too big. I think they lead for Quinn Carroll, John Olmstead, and Bryan Hudson. I would've included maybe Andrew Kristofic & Zeke Correll but they didn't make their visits to see Quinn because he was recruiting during the last Junior Day. Hopefully they get the 3 leaders in for Junior Day on March 3rd and more. We should know more on the scope of this class by mid march after the Junior Day and probably by the Spring Game because official visits will happen for some OLineman and commits soon after that. Would love to see a few guys on the list above get offered, but ND usually does very well with OLine and I think the 2019 class will be a good one. Very important class to have an influx of talent and depth because of the numbers needed.

High Academic Offers: Duke, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, Michigan, Virginia, Illinois, Wisconsin

Other P5 Offers: Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Purdue, TCU

Idk what the deal with this kid is. At this point, even if we do offer it’s probably too late, but man oh man do the optics look weird. Kid has visited 3 times, offered by almost every top academic school in the Power 5 and also boasts the Georgia, Ohio State and Oklahoma offers from the football factories. Wonder if Jeff Quinn will ever revisit cause Harry Hiestand clearly didn’t like this dude. Maybe Olmsted and Carroll said they would immediately drop ND if they recruited Keegan lol.

Gus Ramos, 247's top guy in Illinois CB'd him to Michigan... I think.

Quinn never followed him, no one past the recruiting staff ever followed him. The only thing that points to there being a hint of recruiting going on here is he followed Tyler Plantz not to long ago.

Staff did kick the tires here. No mutual interest.

I'm not saying he was a top of the board guy, but the staff made contact and there was nothing there.
