Made sense for him especially coming back from injury. I was more pissed Kyren sat out.Still pissed he sat out the bowl game. Would have won with him.
You taunting 08? I dig itWasn't he a 3-star at some point? lol
I got into it with some Oklahoma fan almost 3 years ago about the Peyton Bowen flip, my point was that Oklahoma doesn't have any safeties of note in the NFL, not like ND. It wasn't a smart decision. After Peyton had 6 assisted tackles and 2 solos against Michigan the guy responded again...mind you, this is almost 3 years after our initial discussion. I'm like....seriously? Kyle Hamilton just became the highest paid Safety in the NFL, Harrison Smith is still going at 15 years after a HoF career, and Xavier Watts was just drafted and is starting for the Falcons. That's just a few. Oklahoma? They have just one Safety in the NFL currently and it's Billy Bowman Jr who technically isn't a starter in Atlanta's 3-4 at Nickel.Love it! Even though he's already a superstar recruiter, Mike Mickens can now proudly ask prospective Safety commits, "do you want to be the next $100M safety in the NFL? Come to Notre Dame!"
(And now, he can include Xavier Watts as a top ND NFL Safety, at least so far.)
Rees gonna be texting Hamilton after the game lmao
4 tonight so farI looked Hamiltons box score up which is good then saw Miles Garrett has had 11 sacks in his last 3 games.
Controversial.Kyle’s a pretty decent player.
Briefly Re-Teamed With College Teammate
Gilman was college teammates with All-Pro Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton at Notre Dame.
Were it not for Gilman, Hamilton’s path to the Ravens may have never happened in the first place. Hamilton told Irish Illustrated’s Drew Mentock he was ready to transfer back home to the University of Georgia before his freshman season even started.
It was Gilman, then a senior, who talked Hamilton into staying at Notre Dame, where he was a 3-time All-American in 3 seasons and was selected by the Ravens in the first round (No. 14 overall) of the 2022 NFL draft.
“I was close to transferring,” Hamilton told Mentock. “I wanted to go home during fall camp, but (Gilman) talked me off the ledge.”
Hamilton signed a 4-year, $100 million contract extension with the Ravens before the season and is a 3-time NFL All-Pro in his first 4 seasons.
