Call me crazy, but him being here, and playing as well as he did, had a part in "making" ND attractive to recruits again. Being the highest paid safety in the league represents ND just fine

His impact was not commensurate to his talent while at ND, which is why I tend to agree with @pumpdog20 @fightingirish26 & @arrowryan ,imo.

When i think ND man, I envision the type of on field performance that led to team glory (like playoff wins). Otherwise, its meaning becomes watered down skunkbear piss.

But I'd ask you, what makes him a ND Man outside of being a crazy talent? There's nothing I know of that puts him over the top in that way from a promoting ND perspective or overcoming long odds.

From what I've heard,Kyle did have some choice words critical of ND while a player and his attitude was not always "the best".

But, in his defense
1) had to put up with Kelly and Bros
2) during covid angst era and absurdity of that era
3) he was in the fake NIL era where ND was still playing softball and pussy footing around some trying to "follow the rules"

Long story short. Amazing played and great role model. Critical of the University at a time when it needed to hear some stuff. And his word, unlike ours, is that kind that gets shit done.
