Weird that they are finding out he’s not a great fit now when he was at ND in July and is back for an OV in September. Hopefully it is fixable and ND can keep pursuing. If not, I think ND lands Bralen Trice in a few days so ND is good on DE’s.

ISD blasting a kid's academics or character isn't going to do them or ND any favors in the future with that recruit/head coach/school.

I'm happy to be in the dark when they mention "fit".

His production is way down this year. Avg 4 tkls a game and under 1 TFL w/ just 2 sacks. They have played a tough schedule, The #3, #5, #15, #28, (and the #98) teams in AZ and the #5 team in Hawaii but he should be dominating. After what I saw in person, that's a lot of red flags.

Well then I'm not excited about anyone of the board at DE now lol. Hopefully flipping season bears some fruit then.

Loy and Wiltfong immediately put down ND predictions after the Trice news.

Maybe the staff likes Foskey and his position flexibility more than Trice?

Maybe it's like when you start to check out the big girls 30 minutes before closing time.

ND trending on the CB for Foskey. All 3 of Loy, Wiltfong, and Huffman have posted reasons on why as well. So there is at least some information available on why. Essentially we currently lead and he's telling people that. Just have to hope we hang on as he's still scheduled to make other OV's.

Huffman doesn't throw down a lot of CB's, but when he does, he's almost always right.

2018 CB's he was over 97%
2019 CB's = 100%

If Foskey commits, do we have to watch that awful movie about De La Salle football?

DE right as replacement for Trice?

Yes, ND, Cal, and Washington are recruiting him as a DE. OSU and UM are recruiting him as a TE. Important to note that he's playing DE in the AA game. As a prospect I like him more than Trice, I just really wanted to lock up Trice so we didn't have to be concerned with these upcoming visits.

I sure like his size. Would this be a better DE prospect than trice?

A lot of people think so. He's also probably grows into a SDE and for balance in this class, that's probably more important than another Drop/WDE.

Not a fit per ISD.

I'm not exactly sure what that means, maybe someone else can explain.

So I'm wondering if this was because Trice had already told the staff his intentions to commit just to back out later...? Would be odd if he was "not a fit" and these CBs come in after.

Apparently he's got work to do in the classroom but reason for optimism that it's getting done and will be done that ND is a realistic option at this time.

I’m wondering if the staff told Trice to commit elsewhere once they saw that Foskey was going to qualify academically

Even with Nana probably growing to SDE too?

Daelin and Kareem have been lining up on opposite ends, both at 265+.

Of course the once anorexic, Capt. Chaos is showing what the Drop position is all about. Leads the nation in QBH's and all around mayhem + has an INT to boot... all while still technically #2 on the depth chart and splitting snaps with the starter.

No they wanted Trice. I think they were as surprised as we were with how that went down.

Maybe Trice read his thread on IE and didn't feel very appreciated.

And missing a full half vs Va Tech

No. They wanted Trice and I'd have bet the house they'd have taken both. ND was up against a tough double team in Pete K and OL coach Scott Huff who played here at my local HS.

Some conflicting rumors floating around on what exactly happened with Trice. I might not find out till the off season but I will, I'm actually curious to know. I can share, I did get a funny note on my eval on Trice. Ya never know who's reading this stuff. lol

I hope Elston and/or Polian are there to see him during the bye week. Would love to lock him down. Anyone know what Loy is hearing?
