Due to my work schedule I was never able to do much coaching for my kids. I did coach my son's flag football teams for three years and it was a blast. Of course I took it too serious but had a great time.I feel this. On a much smaller scale lol, I coached my 7yr old son in flag football last spring. When he scored his first TD i went full Dad mode, running down the sideline, and my heart swelled with a sense of love and pride I've never felt during a sporting event. When RC said that's my heart in the field, I instantly said that's the feeling.
You're absolutely right on the pride you feel for your kids. My son stuck with football and got really good. Just got named all state here in Tennessee. High school football is so much fun and they take it serious here. All his games are streamed on Youtube with announcers and sometimes instant replay. There is a coach's show every week. It's nuts. I have one more year left of it, though he is wanting to play in college (probably FCS level). Nothing better than watching your kids succeed, especially when you see how much work they put into something.
