I think he's OVing to Georgia too if I remember correctly. May be visiting others, thought I saw Clemson but couldn't find anything about that and they haven't offered.

Doesn't have it set yet but said after talking to Coach Lea, he wants to visit. He added he will talk to Lea again tomorrow to get it figured out and set. Will also visit Tennessee, Georgia, Louisville, and South Carolina.

Rural TN public school kid who plays what level of comp before the playoffs?. A running HS QB without hardly any production at DB plus runs mid 4.6's.

Didn't say that now. Any of the guys they are on are fine. Would I prefer 4.5's with DB production? Yep. Would I have been happy if Kalon Gervin was an RKG with his low 4.4 clock and man to man skills? Mmm-Hmm. He could very well be the jewel of the class down the road but i like to see film of them doing what they are being recruited for game after game during their junior AND senior years. But he may well be the next K Russell so who knows.

To be honest, I don't worry about it as much, if at all any more with Elko here. We all know there have been times in the past that their recruiting was sub par and they were not offering the right guys. Now if they go after a head scratcher, I know Elko's got a plan.

I understand what you are saying, but something strange happened here with pOSU. They just offered on the 11th and Alford visited him on the 16th. He was gung ho to take an official visit. Now suddenly neither is interested in each other. Obviously something happened. Who rejected who first is the question.

Something could've happened on Alford's visit that were warning signs to pOSU. It's possible that Taylor wanted to commit and pOSU wasn't ready to accept his commitment and he said screw you. Lots of other scenarios are possible. It's just a little odd how short their courtship was. Like a middle school romance.

This happens with us all the time. There is brief mutual interest, but the kid realizes the school has higher priorities and he moves on quickly.

Taylor's options have been expanding in recent weeks with schools like Notre Dame and Ohio State both recently extending offers. Now, Taylor will take an official visit to South Bend to see what the Irish have to offer.

"At the end of my sophomore year they were talking to me about playing quarterback but then I committed and we kind of broke off contact," Taylor said. "But the coaches at Notre Dame recruiting me when they were at Wake Forest and that relationship carried over, especially with Coach Clark, so I decided I should take an official visit."

Taylor, a versatile athlete who plays mostly quarterback for his high school team, is being recruited by the Irish to play defensive back.

"They want me to play corner," Taylor said. "They are playing catch up and it's going to be very hard for them to flip me but I want to give them a chance to show me what Notre Dame is about and I'm going to go up there and see what it's like."

This weekend's trip will be Taylor's first visit to South Bend and he said he's hoping to see something different than trips he's made in the past to other campuses.

"I want to really see the different type of environment," Taylor said. "I’ve visited a lot of schools in the SEC and ACC and I know Notre Dame is different than those schools. I want to see those differences, check out some of the history and see the fan base and how they interact with the team and stuff like that."
