Lookit, Parquer is in no way a good OC, but Hartman was absolutely brutal today and more of a reason for the issues on offense than the OC. Slow processing, horrible accuracy, poor decision making. That's not the OC - that's the QB.

There were two times in the game where Clemson was ridiculously slow in getting set, and the receiver to the formation left, out wide, was all alone. All they needed to do was snap the ball, and throw it out to that side, and it would have been a huge gain. The QB either doesn't see it, or fails to react. That's on him.

This board was
A random historical add-on: QBs are great for their teams depending what they are asked to do, what they have to work with, and whether they WIN with that mix. In the good old days we had some famous guys. Once in a while they made a mistake. Career-at-ND stats:
A. TDs (17)// INTs (11) : John Huarte
B. TDs (25)// INTs (25) : Joe Montana
C. TDs (31)// INTs (35) : Joe Theismann.
BOO BOO all those bums!!! .... but sir they won ... shut up you ass!!

The game changes wildly:
D. TDs (95)// INTs(39) : Brady Quinn <--- BOO!! 39 INTs!!!
E. TDs (60)// INTs (27) : Jimmy Clausen <--- 27 MISTAKES!!!
F. TDs (110)// INTs (41) : Sam I Am at WF
F. TDs (18)// INTs (5): Sam I Am at ND ... WHAT A BUM!!! How can we tolerate this!!!

Just for fun: (if such is even possible on IE)
G. TDs (61)// INTs (37) : Tommy Rees.

I can't take it anymore!!! KILL EVERYONE!!! .... mommy mommy
It’s ok to be wrong.

Genuinely feel bad for the situation he was put in. Gerald Parker + our MAC tier WRs are not why you transfer, but he stuck it out even after Rees left. Probably hurt his stock this year.
Well, there were at least half a dozen times those MAC tier WRs were open today with a couple that could have gone for really big plays if not TDs. Hartman just missed, all day long. He has done so regularly since OSU. Plays scared, which is a recipe for disaster. Sadly, by the end of last season I think Pine was more productive than Hartman has been the last 5 games and I would have thought that could happen heading into this season. A shame to waste this year’s defense.

The WHOLE offense looked bad today, not just Sam.

Sam didn't have his best game today, I don't think he's been the same since that first INT he threw vs. Louisville.

How does he go from a 8-5 Wake Forest team last season throwing almost 40 TD's and just over 3,700 yards to this team?

Parker hasn't helped, Utah's QB had 4 TD's today, have to wonder what he would've looked like in Ludwig's offense....

If you changed his name and ignored the media hype, he may have seen the bench a time or two.
No. Not under Freeman. Freeman's the x factor. He keeps this Parker guy, or gave up after flailing with Utah's OC... It Is what It Is.

Remember BK telling everyone that Freeman would be the coach while he was Golfing?? He knew, and all of our issues are a predicament that BK created.

I wish he was a better player but his character is impeccable. Hopefully Parker has the integrity to resign at the end of the season

Notre Dame QB Sam Hartman: 'Blame me'

Damn I wish he played better because he seems like such a bro. I know it's easy to say it but calling out specific plays where he screwed up like he's a member of this board is above and beyond.

WR play and playing calling aside, he's missed reads and missed throws. Even if things are not always in his favour, you still expect him to make the right decisions and throws when needed. He's been far too inconsistent the last what... six games?

Goolsby called him "mid", and he is. Maybe he was just a system quarterback at Wake.

He was clearly a system QB. He didn’t have to read the defenses, they designed quick 1 read options, the fact he has played this long and he can’t see a corner blitz come and change the play is unheard of. And if that’s on Parker then he needs to be gone and if it’s on Freeman than he needs to be fired as well. You have to be able to change the play at the line of scrimmage. They did this every Friday night at every high school in America.

So who will the Board of Trustees bring in for offensive coordinator?
