Just a thought… It would be an unpopular move to many, but starting Minchey or Angeli after the USC game (if we lose) could be what’s best for the future. Also, I’d play Bowen, Ziegler, Jagusah, Vernon, and James. Sam could focus on the draft and finish up his career vs USC, assuming a loss. With a win I think you play him all season and shoot for 10-2. He’s already played as much football as Tom Brady. He’s not going to show anything we haven’t seen. He risks injury only. I know Freeman wants to go 10-2, but if we get thumped by USC, what’s the point in playing Hartman? What does that due for the development of the team and preparation for TAMU?
This would be quitting on the season and the team would recognize that. Good luck winning a single game after.
You also don't disrespect your talented transfer when you're going to need to keep recruiting transfer QBs in the future. Terrible message to send.
