BK and Chip Long have a single, sure-fire deep throw drawn up that is guaranteed to work one time. It’s gonna be play-action, and it’s going to leave a WR streaking down the field wide open.

Lenzy is gonna catch the Chris Brown Special, aka the ‘Oklahoma ‘12.’

Who will be the one throwing the ball?

ian and BW in the backfield. Direct snap to BW who tosses it deep to Lenzy. Book smashes a blitzing S.

Can all shollie players and PWO's travel to Cotton Bowl and if not, anyone know what the limit is? Must be more than a typical road game during the regular season right?

He is listed at 170 on the official roster so what is his weight now?

Just saw an article with an update on this.

https://247sports.com/college/notre-dame/Article/Nore-Dame-Braden-Future-At-Notre-Dame-127806521/

“I’m 182 pounds now, which is not ideal for what I want, but compared to 165 pounds, it’s a lot better. I came in a little higher than that, and then during fall camp, I dipped down to like 166 because my body fat went so low because of how hard we were working.”

Lenzy is 5’11” 182lbs right now. Here’s a list of top receiver under 6’0” in the NFL:

1) Tyreek Hill - 5’10” 185
2) Antonio Brown - 5’10” 181
3) TY Hilton - 5’10” 183
4) Odell Beckham - 5’11” 198
5) Jarvis Landry - 5’11” 206
6) Tyler Lockett - 5’10” 182
7) Sterling Shepard - 5’10” 201
8) Emmanuel Sanders - 5’11” 180

First off, in no way am I saying that Lenzy will be a top 10 under 6’0” WR in the NFL cause that’s ridiculous heights to reach, but I was just giving an idea of weights that these receivers play with. Clearly, the ideal playing weight is between 185-200 at Lenzy’s 5’11” height, but body type and his own personal weight gain and potential height gain may change that. Being in his freshman year and already around the weight that he needs to be is really really awesome. It allows him to focus on maintaining his electric speed and increasing his strength without needing to worry about putting on mass. I really think that the spring semester of him working on track, lifting in football to get stronger for those jump balls he’s had trouble with, and spring football practice under Del Alexander’s lead should really help him make a sizeable jump. I think he will excel in the near future as an awesome weapon for ND.

Hopefully he can maintain that through track season as this is a big offseason for some of these young WR's.

Everybody. ND writers have been talking about it all off season

so writers would like to take a guy who brings what ND has been lacking for several years, and the most likely to give us a Fuller like weapon again, and stick him in a place where we have recruited pretty well and have been pretty strong lately.... check... did any of them give "sources" that said a move should, or would be happening?

haven't heard a fan mutter it at all to be honest. and i certainly doubt anyone who's a fan of the passing game would want that to happen.

another reason why i gave up the subscription crap... after years of it, it's apparent most are as clueless as the average fan. glad he came out and told folks to STFU.

I don’t think saying all ND writers have wanted this is a very accurate statement. From my vantage point it’s mostly fans that expect all freshman to immediately play and when they don’t, assume they either stink, need to move positions, or will transfer.

Pete Sampson said the coaches were considering the move for sure. But his sources have been off the last month so who knows. And it was certainly brought up in this thread during the bowl season. I for one hope he stays at WR.

I was really hoping earl yin his recruitment (last year) that he would switch to DB, but now, given that ND needs speed at WR, he should stay WR.

Defenses are going by the wayside anymore. I'd rather have his speed on O.

Hopefully we'll have a starting QB that can get him the ball 25+ yards down field in 2019. 2018 would've been a wasted year of eligibility for Lenzy.

Pete has been off ever since his move to The Athletic, IMO.

IF that rumor is true (that the coaches were at one point considering moving him), it's not like we have a numbers issue at DB...so it would lead me to believe he wasn't wowing anybody on offense.

Yea, kind of my point. Not sure Sampson constitutes everybody.
