I would think he wants to go somewhere and be the guy. For us, I think he'd be a great late game closer but is he going to be happy with that role. I don't see him taking many carries from Kyren. I would think Tyree's role will only grow. Does he take the C'Bo carries? C'Bo was at 57 carries on the year. So maybe that plus 10-20?

He can be the Thunder to Tyree's Lightning for a year or two and then Estime can take over the role.

Seems like he's got the goods to be the guy at a P5. If that's what he wants, I'll be pulling for him. Woulda loved to see him in blue & gold.

Hey, I’m totally down with him coming on board but I doubt his role on this team, in the immediate future, is what he’s looking for.

He’ll find a school like Cincy or Indiana and go be the guy for a season and try to make the league.

Any idea why he's leaving other than "reasons"? Is it a PT issue or a Troy is burning issue?

I was watching a few of their games this year and the team as a whole looks more like a Charlie Weiss era ND team. They don’t look physical at all.

Don't know but if I had to guess he's not happy he enrolled at USC only to find out he's playing for Texas Tech.

They run the ball occasionally. When the opponent shifts from 5 to 6 DB's.

I hope he makes a good lump of coin in the League because opting out of an SC degree after 5 semesters isn't a good 40 year decision.

could never understand why steep never got more carries. in the 2019 ND-USC game had USC used him as their main back USC might have won the game, ND had a terrible time trying to tackle him.

The Irish were trying to boost his confidence.

Pretty sure that Stepp had injuries. Was pretty beast-like elsewise. If he came here, I'll bet that he (assuming no injuries) would create a two-headed monster with Kyren. Tyree would miss some carries (IMO)

Hypothetically, I just don't see it. For a team that needs more speed on the field, they are going to take the fastest guy off the field, more than he already is. I think a huge part of the offseason will be conditioning Tyree's body for a larger workload, not less.

In reality, it doesn't seem like the staff does either. From what I've read it's highly doubtful he's coming here. If there was indeed this huge role for him on the team, maybe it's a different story.

I would bet he's coming back to the Midwest. I think Crus is on to something with Purdue. However, I did read on the USC 247 board that there is some speculation he goes to Deion Sanders U. I mean Jackson State.

Imagine going to SC for 5 semesters + summer school, transferring to Neon U and then NOT making the League?

Ooooooooooooooouch!

I'm not going to pretend to know Markese on a personal level but this is a young man that was committed to ND for, what, 1.5 years, yet did not prepare himself to ever be admitted. Something tells me he doesn't put a tremendous amount of thought into academics.

Wish things could have played out different for Stepp because he would have been great in a gold Helmet. I can't embed it, maybe a moderator can, but he made a post on twitter last night about the game. Even though he needs to fix his spell check when typing Notre Dame.

Meant to post this earlier but forgot. This bump reminded me of it.
