however, did you see some recruits have signed multiple letters to different schools? so it leaves the door open however can also cause a recruting violation now---NOT saying newsome did this, but the signed letter isn't the guarantee

No, I didn't see anything about players signing multiple LOI's. I'll have to dive into that.

I did see there are guys who signed and are sitting on it until the AA games or LSD. Lenzy did it for just 2 days for some reason. That would theoretically open up other schools to recruiting violations as the bylaws are currently written. The NCAA has to nip all this in the bud if they keep the ESP as is. Now need to waste millions of dollars chasing 20-100 (?) narcissists around the country if they have already signed just so they can pick a hat at the last possible minute.

NCAA has lots of precedent. Basketball already has an early signing period.

Let me clarify and say.......

I don’t believe that it’s a guarantee that Griffith is a shutdown CB. But the staff certainly wants to find out if he is. What a better way to get a free viewing of his abilities than this situation. This ESP is giving our coaches more tape and viewing, so when he shows up, they have a better idea. It’s great. And he’s an EE.

Griffith and Allen are the DB’s the staff has wanted for 2+ years. We get legitimate viewings of them in hand, for longer than we’ve had before

From what I’ve seen on the live updates from the UA game sounds like Houston isn’t having a great showing today. He’s been beat twice for touchdowns. I assume this is in live game action the updates haven’t been specific.

I'd agree with this. Even with him getting picked on early in the season, he's been getting better each week.

VS WF, Bauer and Ogun had 6 tackles, both Ades had 4, and HG had 3.

I get wood seeing these guys make the best of their PT.
The future D is very bright.

Isn't it amazing when you have a DC that is also a good recruiter? BVG not only killed our defense on the field, he killed the defenses of the future by half assing it on the trail. Lea has done a great job of fixing the years of mistakes by BVG.

The 2018 and 2019 defensive classes are just the beginning to what will hopefully be some dominant defenses.
