The more I think about this the more I think I would have converted one of the jumbo WR's to this position. This is a valuable scholarship in 2018.

There's a great chance that the 2018 roster will only have Kmet, Wright, and Takacs. Adding Tremble will keep the depth at a semi healthy level; so, using a scholarship on him is valuable too. I'm not a fan of using a jumbo WR for his position. ESB is too skinny, Claypool has the strength and athleticism to be a terrible mismatch out wide, and Boykin showed a lot of promise this spring at receiver.

I get all that. I just don't see The big 3 getting enough snaps to justify keeping both Boykin and Claypool at WR when either could thrive at BK's version of the Flex. Stepherson and McKinley are coming for snaps. If Von McK is healthy, it's just a matter of time before Von breaks out... and jumbo reinforcements are on the way with Micah Jones next season.

Now, if the Flex has been redefined by Long then that's another story.

3 more CBs in Notre Dame's favor have come in since the UGA guy put one down this morning. One of them coming from an Auburn guy. If the guys down south are making predictions, maybe something is about to go down

He basically called ND his leader post visit, so if he's getting ready to decide, then you'd think ND is going to be the choice. I guess I haven't seen what his expected timeline is, but maybe these guys are hearing it could be coming soon, I hope so.

I really like Tremble as a compliment to Takacs, and I think this continues to upgrade the athleticism of our TE position, so I like taking him.

Not only will he upgrade the overall athleticism of the group, he'll probably be the most athletic tight end on the roster once Alize is gone

Imagine being Auburn, Mississippi State, Ole Miss or Vanderbilt and seeing a Georgia kid give Fresno State a nod over you, lol.

It was really just a Top 5 and Fresno gets the plug for being the first school to offer.

According to Sampson on podcast Tremble could pop for ND at any time. On his visit spent a lot of time with Chip Long and Alize Mack. Came away impressed especially with Mack explaining why he chose ND over UCLA. Not as talented as Mack but similar type player, more of a flexed out TE or large wide out.

Not as talented as a receiver, without doubt but Tremble has laid down some incredible combine #'s that make him unique.

Usually 6-4 225lb guys that run 4.62's are 4 - 5 star WDE's.

Honestly, always kind of wondered if Tremble could swing as a DE project.

Tremble's school, John's Creek, plays against my nephew's school end of August. I'll go get a look at him. Wow, I just discovered John's Creek opens the season at home against Derrik Allen's school Lassiter. John's Creek is only a 15-20 minute drive for me. Get to see both play.

Paid sites seem to know/think that he has a decision date that is very soon. Can anyone share when that is?

I don't believe one has been set yet, the belief is he's in decision mode and one could come at any time

Haha, 247 went into meltdown mode when they found out he visited UGA over the weekend. No way ND could land a kid after he visited UGA last. That board is a mess.

Sounds like someone at UGA discussed the Kelly hot seat issue with Mr. Tremble.

The good news is his recruiting ranking will rise while he's looking around.

From what I gather on podcast Georgia made a strong pitch on his recent visit appealing to the whole Georgia legacy thing. Parents advised him to wait and take official visits before deciding. To me this is good for ND. He's been to Georgia games before but hasn't experienced game day at ND. And apparently academics does play a major role for him in his decision. Plus he'll get a first hand look at Chip Long's use of the TE's.

phew, I like the that he's going to take his time. Our TE's should have a good season so I like our chances here.

This is such a great update for this back and forth with Koon. Though Tremble has decided to slow things down, ND is doing an incredible job recruiting him and his family.

So a GA prospect decides that he'd like to take OV's to his favorites versus commit to ND on his first ever visit, and the world is over and ND can't close. Or, they've found themselves at the top of a recruitment against some stiff competition for a kid from SEC country. I'd call that pretty darn good so far.

His team cruised in the opener. Couldn't find a box score. Sounds like the bench got emptied early they were up @ 50 by half.

Honestly, always kind of wondered if Tremble could swing as a DE project.

But I did find this:

Balanced offense, agressive defense leads Wesleyan football to season-opening rout of Therrell | Sports | gwinnettprepsports.com

Therrell’s second series came to an abrupt halt when Tommy Tremble, a transfer from Johns Creek, sacked senior quarterback Andre Martin and recovered the ensuing fumble.

“(Tremble) hasn’t played defense in three years,” Pridgen said. “He’s always been an offensive player. Obviously he’s incredible there, but he’s got a lot ability on defense. It wouldn’t shock me at all if some of these schools that are interested in him said, ‘He can do that? Wow.’”

The Wolves failed to convert on that short-field opportunity, but Tremble blasted untouched through the line on the next series and wrangled a scrambling Martin for his second sack of the game. O’Sullivan ripped the ball loose on the next play and Wesleyan started on the Therrell 30-yard line.

Ramsey followed O’Sullivan into the end zone on a 3-yard sweep for a 14-0 lead at 4:57.

The senior quarterback connected with Tremble on a short touchdown pass a few minutes later. Running back George Bielan had the big play of the drive with a 31-yard dash through the middle of the field.

Tremble's school, John's Creek, plays against my nephew's school end of August. I'll go get a look at him. Wow, I just discovered John's Creek opens the season at home against Derrik Allen's school Lassiter. John's Creek is only a 15-20 minute drive for me. Get to see both play.

Transferred to Norcross Wesleyan in June.
