I work for the Johns Creek PD and sometimes work Johns Creek High school football games I'll try to keep up with him this year.

Tremble plays at Norcross Wesleyan now in case you missed that at the end.

John's Creek has another really good WR/TE player like Tremble to watch out for though. Zach Williams has offers from IU, Pitt and some Ivy's and performed very close to Tremble at The Opening Regional. He had 7 rec for 142 yards and a TD last night.

Yes, I did miss the last part of your post. But I will keep an eye out for Williams. Any reason for Tremble's transfer?

I never did read why. Funny thing is JC is supposed to be pretty good again and competes in 6A (out of 7A). Whereas Wesleyan is in Private A. They made it to the State semi's last year and lost to state champ Eagle's Landing, Isaac Rochell's HS team.

Yes, JC is supposed to be pretty kid this year, and I'm not sure but I think JC has a new head coach who won some championships in Fla at his old school.

His team cruised in the opener. Couldn't find a box score. Sounds like the bench got emptied early they were up @ 50 by half.

But I did find this:

Balanced offense, agressive defense leads Wesleyan football to season-opening rout of Therrell | Sports | gwinnettprepsports.com

Transferred to Norcross Wesleyan in June.

Yes I learned that from Sinclair last week. Reason centers around academics. Wesleyan is a top notch academic school and tuition runs around 25,000 per year.

Could he play WDE for ND?

No, he's a TE in college. Don't be fooled by that tape. The team they played is awful and on his two sacks no one even attempted to block him. He's better on the offensive side of the ball.

Two things I can always count on from IE and they both happened today.

1. Recruit gets hurt = ND lock
2. 1% chance of recruit ending up at ND = Dumb & Dumber GIF

Sucks for Tremble to get hurt and miss the season but by end of year he'll be healed and ready to go.

At first I wasn't crazy about this offer and then his film/production changed my mind but I think I've come full circle and think his scholarship would be best used somewhere else this cycle. The Irish are heavy on TE's, Weishar has a 5th year available and Alize won't be going to the NFL like 80% of the board members feared.

Still, to think ND could battle UGA for a UGA legacy in a year where they got beat by the Bulldogs and Tremble would be the 2nd (and lower rated) TE ND would be taking shows how powerful ND's TE-U brand is.

True, however I thought the reason UGA wasn't a slam dunk from the beginning is due to some bad blood between the dad and the school. That gets your foot in the door.

it'd be good if Alize was tearing it up, as a recruiting tool for folks like Tremble..

Yeah that was the rumor but here we are in Oct and supposedly UGA might have the lead. If it was a real problem I think Tremble would have verballed months ago.

UGA seems to have taken this personally. To show ND they shouldn't be down south going after their targets, the Bulldogs went after and got 6-6 John Fitzpatrick who had offers from Bama, Oregon, Princeton and Yale. Talk about a demographic home run. I guarantee you there's pictures of that kid sitting in a high chair, spitting up split peas onto his Notre Dame bib.

Well didn't he nearly verbal? That was the talk on one of II's recruiting podcasts brought to us by none other than the Couv himself. I also recall ISD stating the bad past with UGA had pretty much been resolved.

I remember the feeling was he could pop at anytime but then everyone started reporting that he would slow down and take a few visits.

If ND gets him, I think he could be a really good player. But seating is limited and if we don't get some transfers from freshman and sophomores or possibly a junior who graduates early and GT's, this class is going to be tight. They have more need than they have spaces right now. A second TE is a luxury and with them taking an extra LB, that would be Tremble's spot if I was managing the roster.

Oh I agree. Spots are limited and a #2 TE is a big luxury.

In all seriousness, if they have to have a Flex they should throw Boykin in Balis' lab after the bowl game and you'll have a 240lb converted WR for the spring game. It would probably be a good career move for Boykin too if he's thinking about Sundays. I don't see him making any $$$ as a WR.

Could he actually make that transition?

I think there's no doubt he and Claypool could. They are both over 225 lbs right now. Claypool is gaining momentum at WR but Boykin has to worry about Austin, maybe _ _ _ coming in, Boykin 2.0 (Micah Jones), Jafar Armstrong... and if the staff can somehow stop doing whatever they did to Von McKinley and let him be Von McKinley, everyone will be the other option. Boykin stepping in to be the Flex would be great.
