I will put it like this, if I were a top flight WR I would want to play with a QB that is far more accurate. Watching Brandon throw I would be no thank you. Horrid accuracy. Constantly high, behind, or in the dirt. Or flat out missing wide open receivers.

Hope I’m wrong. But, watching Brandon throw is a nightmare.

Chances are he would play next year with Brandon, and then one of the other QBs after.. I don't agree with this argument.

Or I am super ambitious and relish in the opportunity to help my QB and team look better by consistently catching passes that ARE placed accurately. I value the leadership and respect the work ethic of my QB to improve. I also look forward to working hard behind the scenes with extra fidelity to establish good working routines with the starting and secondary QBs. And most importantly, I am seriously invested in playing for a Notre Dame team and school that I love, a unit that played a very respectable 2017 season with a higher ceiling the year I enter.

I mean, your negativity can be countered.

I agree, there is always a counter. I really hope he does take in your scenario. We need impact wrs. I just think a qb with throwing issues does effect WR.

Anyhow, I really hope he takes your point.

Wasn't BW's accuracy like 70% as a senior in HS? I do think this will get worked out as long as it's not mental like Johnny Miller or Chuck Knoblock.

I agree that it has some effect, but I also hope Amon-Ra looks at the silver lining. We know that Brandon has struggled in passing, but I think it is too early to write off his potential. This was not an easy sentiment to uphold after the Miami game, but experience does matter. And I hope we see growth.

Forget Wimbush.

I'll send him the 2009 Jimmy Clausen & Golden Tate highlight film.

That will give him 1496 reasons to come to ND with the best QB in his class... just like Golden did.

72% but who's keeping track?

Call me crazy, but I am not overly concerned about BW; must be my Jersey loyalty.

With that being said, it has been very difficult watching him throw at times. I feel this year, he took his lumps and will iron out the kinks over Spring and Summer work outs. Many attribute his regression, or lack of progression, to mechanics, previous coaching, etc.

He did come in with huuuuuggggeeee expectations for this season, but 10-2/9-3 is not too shabby for a debut season. I expect big things next week, but more importantly, next year from BW.

Lsu has had how many top tier wr's drafted and has had probably some of the worst starting power 5qbs ... If you're good you will be found

Probably wrongish thread, but he won’t have the same level of protection with McG and Nelson gone.

Eichenberg might be better than McGlinchey in pass protection.

This is madness! McG is pretty damn good... Not as good as Martin, but slightly better than Stanley. He's had a couple of bad beats, this year, but his overall body of work is impressive.

I guess we'll see how Eichenberg measures up, but I expect a huge dropoff, no matter who steps into the LT position. It's not just the individual, but the cohesion that McG and Nelson play with will take at least a year to build up.

Madness? This isn't like he said Golson was a better QB than Huarte. You never know until you see them step on the field. IMO, I would grade Stanley higher than Big Mike. Not by a lot, but higher never the less.

I dont think McG is a LT in the NFL. He could play guard or RT IMO, def not LT. He has struggled with speed rushes consistently.

Don't want to high Jack the thread but agreed I don't see Mike as a LT either. But good ability to run block will still make him a very hot commodity to NFL GM's and coaches

I think he can be an okay NFL LT that has some bad games against the really quick guys, or he could be a great RT. A great RT is still worthy of a high pick.

This. If you can't handle the speed rush in college you'll be eaten alive as an NFL left tackle. Big Mike has RT written all over him. Ronnie Stanley was a prototypical NFL left tackle.

Point about McG was he is heads and shoulders above Eichenberg right now. Hopefully in a few years Eichenberg is considered a first round pick.

Everything I have read is that he projects as a RT in the NFL. Any updates on Amon-Ra at all, or are we going to keep talking O Line?

Make sure to include Golden Tate diving into the MSU band!

I think Amon-Ra could have better hops than Golden.

From 24/7:

https://247sports.com/college/notre...p-uncommitted-recruits-are-trending-110901357

The Latest: “All the West Coast sources I talk to say USC. Stanford and Notre Dame are in the mix as well. He had a great trip to Notre Dame, but USC – the way they’re closing the season and what they have at QB in the future are all things that are exciting for Amon-Ra. I’ve still got my Crystal Ball pick on Notre Dame for now.” — Wiltfong

That sorta felt like our last meal before being whisked off to the gallows.
