Cruse, isn't this article like a week old? Not saying it's irrelevant, but it doesn't reflect this past weekend and latest and greatest.
I can't seem to find a date in the article, but I thought I saw this last week.
After this final meeting, does Patterson have any reservations with Notre Dame?
“No, I don’t believe so,” said Patterson. “Of course, obviously it’s tough to pick a school that isn’t close to home and one I don’t know too much about. But, at the end of the day, it’s a really great school and I think I’d be a really great fit there.”
The other finalist, UCLA, has done a great job of recruiting him down the stretch. On Thursday, that staff came in-home for the final in-person meeting.
“I like the new vibe that coach Chip Kelly has brought to Westwood,” said Patterson. “A lot of people are excited about him. It’s a really good opportunity to play there. They are really low on offensive line numbers. It’s not too different from Notre Dame. It’s also close to home, which is nice, and having friends and family there to watch you play.”

— I'm still leaning toward UCLA, but I haven't written off the Fighting Irish just yet. Put it this way, if a decision was made, Friday's in-home visit wouldn't be taking place. Lets see if Brian Kelly, Jeff Quinn and Brian Polian can beat Chip Kelly and the UCLA staff.

Decision Timeline: In the next few days, just prior to Signing Day.
Yep, he says that ND has the edge right now.
Loy'd
Loy'd
More like whenever Loy pulls sh*t out of his a$$ and drops a CB...which is almost every time.Could be, but I always took it for anytime that Loy "feels good" about someone, lol

ND has post-poned BK's in home that was supposed to be tonight, to "TBD", with it expected to wait until later in the week until BK can bring the new OL coach with him.
I think ND is a serious player here if he clicks with the OL coach. This is just a gut feeling so you guys can laugh when I turn out wrong (my source told me ND won't get him).
But he seemed to really like the visit, and BK is great on in homes. With his visit just ending, if BK can bring him an OL coach by say Friday, that's a power move.
I think we got a shot.
Does staff like this kid at OT?
Don’t know but I would strongly assume so, as the need for more OL is at OT. Though I think he fits that swing player profile pretty well.
Just a recruiting truism. If you are below 6’5”, and not a high school TE, you always project better to OG- see Zach Martin, Hainsey, Kraemer, etc.

guys on ISD podcast reckon Patterson has the ability to be a great center due to his quickness and mobility
