Several CBs to Michigan State the last 24 hours
Several CBs to Michigan State the last 24 hours
FWIW< Dave Berk at Scout said the MSU staff is split on him. Maybe that changed.
If we only have 3-4 spots left and this kid waits, given we have two current commits plus our '18 commits, Simmons might end up being left out.
hoping he picks ND just to see the meltdown from State fans. They just lost 4* CB Ambry Thomas to Michigan and 4* WR KJ Hamler to Penn State. They were leading for Thomas and Hamler for a very long time, and right now only have 3 commits in the top 25 players in Michigan, the #9 (4* WR Hunter Rison- son of MSU great Andre) , #10 (3* OL Jordan Reid) , and #11 (3* WR Cody White).
The only top 25 players from the state they have a shot left with are 4*'s Simmons (#7) and Derron Irving-Bey (#6). Would like to see them get neither.
Wilfong stated he heard from a source very close to Simmons that he's pretty much an ND lock.

I just listened to a Michigan podcast (don't ask me why), and a few of their mods from Rivals said they're "kicking the tires" with Simmons.
I don't like that one bit at all.
But shouldn't be to concerned as Harbough will take the Bears job.

I'd be delightfully surprised. I just don't see him leaving scUM at this point, but if he would leave for ANY job, it's definitely the Bears.

???
If the Colts and the Bears were open at the same time, he goes to the Colts. Irsay's his boy and would open up the checkbook. Virginia McCaskey still uses lay away at JC Penney's. Bears won't pay until the McCaskey's are done throwing nickels around like manhole covers.

I dunno. The Bears have been much more invested into building from the ground up, a la the Cubbies, and Pace has done a good job cleaning up the mess Angelo/Emery left him.
But I also forgot that it would be a chance for him to reunite with Luck as well.
That being said, this is all probably a pipedream. I don't imagine he's leaving any time soon...
I was caught by surprise when it was mentioned Harbaugh back to the NFL so soon. However, listening to local spots radio some NFL insiders have said it's not that far fetched and Indy would be at or near the top of his list. As NDC said, he and Irsay are buddies and Irsay would give him as much more control in running the team. Irsay isn't afraid to open his pocket book either.

no way Irsay could take a backseat and let Harbaugh run things as he sees fit. His ego is too big
