I didn't mean literally pulling the scholly. More of a distance themselves with communication and hope he starts looking elsewhere, which obviously he did. I just find it really hard to believe they would just stop communications with a player that was committed, unless A) this isn't true or B) they weren't impressed with him anymore and found other more suitable players.
I don't think they're lazy when it comes to recruiting and they've done a good job of putting together classes. Something is off with this one though....
You're right, they aren't the same. BUT in the end, it's the same as far as the damage it does. If they did cool, then distance to promote his looking elsewhere did they think it wouldn't come out in the media? It's bad enough if they did it and he committed to Ball St but he appears to be joining what looks like the greatest class in the recruiting industry era. So if the distancing is true, instead of just looking shady, now they look shady AND stupid.
ND will continue to pull in solid recruiting classes but having BK as HC is like Domino's letting the best delivery guy drive their car at the Indianapolis 500.
