Ok, just because they signed with ND they didn't really play besides Lynch he played a lot. Vandedoes never played and Neal only fair caught punts so he never really played. My post was more referencing imagine if those guys stayed and played for ND as well. Sorry I didn't include that. And please shut up with me "trolling" I am not trolling anybody one bit. Look up the word trolling before you start making shit up bro.
You're my boy but don't make shit up and accuse me or doing something I'm not doing at all.
Who are you kidding? That is trolling.
VANDERDOES WAS NEVER A STUDENT. He sent in an LOI and suddenly discovered a sick grandma. Kelly went to the wall refusing to release him and was vilified in the press for doing so.
By the way how many of ND's 8 losses would have been wins with Vanderdoes 27 tackles this year in 12 games. Would his 2 tackles per game have been significant?
Aaron Lynch is another trolling example. He was a prima donna at ND and everywhere else he went. Kelly, DC, Position Coach, Manti, and his mom, Alice, a former member here, all tried and failed. Alice even asked Justin Tuck to "counsel" her son into staying at ND. ALL FOR NOUGHT.
Neal - wasn't he the recruit that was making his commitment announcement at his grade school assembly and then stiffed them? Wasn't he the guy with off field issues at ND? A head problem? I recall him arriving at ND as a highly touted WR/KR and not matching his HS performances. I also recall a lot of fans protesting his lack of PT due to others passing him on the depth chart. Yet I don't recall fans protesting that he be a starting DB? Was it my faulty memory or your revisionist posting?
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Anzalone commit to ND when he didn't have an offer from UF and then flipped when he did? I seem to remember several recruitiniks saying Anzalone would not stick with ND.
D Rob are we talking the classy ND student athlete WR who had to give football due to injuries or the HS Dual QB/CB recruit Denard Robinson who said
he would only go to a school that would play him at QB?
From his Wiki file:
Michigan initially recruited Robinson as a defensive back, and Robinson declined.[16] Robinson recalled that it was one of his goals to play quarterback at the college level.[16] After observing his passing abilities, Michigan recruited Robinson as a quarterback. On February 4, 2009, Robinson announced that he had signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Michigan
Then he went on to the NFL and didn't play defense. He's a RB/WR.
Denard was NEVER a viable ND prospect despite your trolling.
I'm not going through the rest of your specious list. I'll close with your inclusion of Donovan Jeter who hasn't stepped on a Division I football field as he's ineligible as a high school player to be at ND now. Another name use pulled to fit a narrative.
I can recall Holtz uttering "the 40 year mistake" over a kicker that spurned ND for FSU. I remember Holtz sending prima donna home before big games as both HC of ND and Arkansas. I remember Parseghian being turned down by the QB for Bishop Amat HS. kid named Pat Haden who won 2 National Championship. I remember Mike Frank offering to paint his butt blue if a highly touted RB didn't sign with ND. The RB reneged and so did Mike. Then there was an Oklahoma HS DL whose parents rubbed his body with sacred oils before each HS game. He committed to ND then flipped when his girl friend who apparently was rubbing another oil on part of his body announced she was with child. He made the choice to stay with his "family". Oh fire the coach for lack of effort, right GB?
Lots of recruits have disappointed coaches and fans with flipping through the decades for lots of reason (icluding "I like their helmets better) and they will continue to.
