ND fans always hope Mom is involved in the process. Sounds like this time... not so much. She's hoping his older brother (who's taking online courses) can walk-on in the fall and join Jeremiah. She mentions LSU, Tennessee and Georgia but oddly enough not Notre Dame as possible destinations.

Read for yourself in this 247 Freebie:

Mother of 4-star WR: 'Georgia's home'

Who was it that had my hopes up? Why you messin' with me like that Papi?

Per TV UGA is going to be hard to beat out. Academics and Irish style of offense are what attract Holloman to the Irish.

Big stuff happening at UGa that could drive Holloman (#23 WR) to South Bend.

#19 WR, 6-3 Mark Webb committed to UGA today.

The Bulldogs already have commitments from:

#35 WR, 6-2 Trey Blount
#65 WR, 6-5 Matt Landers

Last week, 247/UGA's Rusty Mansell and Kip Adams entered CB's to UGA for

#13 WR, 6-5 Nico Collins who was thought to be a Mich lean w/ Bama second.

That's a lot of WR headed to Athens if true.

I like where ND sits now, easy sell for the staff.

Agree Crusader and no WR had a better summer than Holloman in terms of increasing his stock. He was dominant, really excited to see his senior year tape. I think quietly ND likes where they sit

It isn't anything what we thought was likely 6 mos. ago but a class of:

Pouncey
Young
Holloman
Martin/Calvin/Igbinoghene

Would be far more athletic than the OSB, Black, Jones, ______, group we thought was coming.

Pouncey has a rare top gear, 30 ypr against big boy Orlando schedule.
Young is a 100% bulldog at slot
Holloman had a 135 Sparq
Martin had a 133 Sparq
Calvin is a sub 4 sec shuttle, who might be more elusive than CJ-S
Igbinoghene has won a national triple jump championship

I have ZERO idea what's going to happen, hell I wouldn't be shocked if OSB ended up in SB. But I almost don't care because there's no losers in this bunch.

The only losers are the DB's who will have to go up against them in the years to come.

Hard to put it any other way, despite the loss #NotreDame hit a HR with 2017 GA WR Jeremiah Holloman this weekend. More coming.

Most important guy on the staff?

We talked with Adam Sargent,” Mrs. Holloman said. “Oh my goodness, that man, he’s awesome. He is really awesome.”

Basically set the standard and I think if it was up to his mom he would be committed based on what I read on ISD

Obviously, the Georgia article pulls out the pieces of the interview that are most pro-Georgia. If you click play, you hear the entire interview. Mom definitely has a special place in her heart for Georgia, but based upon the entire interview, she will support Jeremiah and wherever he feels the Lord is leading him.

Mom is definitely very involved with the recruitment. As someone mentioned earlier, one of the main factors in the decision is going to a school that they feel confident will throw the ball and Jeremiah can get his touches.

Here is a tweet by Jeremiah and his Mom responding to the tweet. LOL

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Best way to recruit a wide receiver is by throwing the ball.</p>— Jeremiah Holloman (@Obey_Classics) <a href="https://twitter.com/Obey_Classics/status/775146550448250880">September 12, 2016</a></blockquote>

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Especially an OUTSIDE WR who's mom stat watches lol <a href="https://t.co/KkDsuafw54">https://t.co/KkDsuafw54</a></p>— Oneida Holloman (@CreativeMynz) <a href="https://twitter.com/CreativeMynz/status/775152435018993665">September 12, 2016</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

They asked Mom in the interview about the tweet and followed up with a question of based upon the tweet, which school is doing the best job of recruiting a wide receiver so far, and she "Honestly, Notre Dame". She did follow it up with a "However" where she immediately tried to build up the other programs as well.

All true. I didn't go into it here I guess but I did have the conversation about how Mom thinks she likes UGa better until she gets to ND on a sunny day.

As important if not more so, UGa has 3 committed 6-2+ WR's just like Jeremiah and now the latest CB's for higher rated Nico Collins are shifting to UGa. So he can be the star of the receiver haul this cycle at ND AND play for an offensive minded HC or stay home as the 3rd wheel in a program run by Bama's longtime DC.

I know what I'd do.

Yeah, so did i but there were no new CB's until a week or two ago when Rusty Mansell and Kip Adams from UGa's 247 both CB'd him to Athens. Something's up.

From what I can tell, Georgia wants to take 5 WR's this cycle and as you stated, all of the commtments/targets are at least 6'2". Don't know how he feels about the numbers game.
