Yes, they are. I don't think he plays safety though I think he would be a great rush linebacker. He's just gonna be to big unless he plays like George Iloka or Chancellor type player. Either way I just really want him

While there is a lot of good going on right now this doesn't seem to be it. After his recent OSU visit they have pulled out in front, way out in front, per Wiltfong. Sounds like they are going to get his summer commitment at this time.

No and I don't want to get too down as today is a pretty cool day for ND recruiting but he is the Stephon Tuitt, Jaylon Smith, etc. of S's for ND.

Nope but if you are wondering how you play for the playoffs you get kids like this who would probably start or be in two deep moment he steps on campus. It's what seperates ND from OSU right now.

Like Lucky said should be an awesome recruiting day for us but this one sucks. Hopefully he holds off until Texas game.

Dude you have such a boner for OSU its crazy. I'll completely disagree that this is what separates teams from making the playoffs. He's an exceptional player and one of a kind currently, obviously, but if coached right there are probably 10+ S's in the 2017 class that can play playoff caliber ball. He's not the only one.

This one will hurt, he is an elite safety... I agree with GB on this one, Ohio State is on another level recruiting wise and thats partly to winning a title but also the effort they put in. They have camps, junior days almost every other weekend it seems and I think ND is falling farther behind them.... Pryor is evidence of this, Tom and Steve all but had him gift wrapped to us for a late summer commitment and he takes one visit with Urban and they are way out front now, we must acknowledge OSU's recruiting prowess

Pryor is most definitely elite, so what you're saying is because ND doesn't get Pryor there isn't another S in that class that can play playoff caliber ball? Seriously?

I'm talking about their recruiting in general and there is a huge, huge gap between where they are at right now and where ND is. They tell Josh King and Auston Roberston sorry no room when ND begs them to come. I'm sorry but it's just what it is right now. About to land Bosa and Grimes then they take the lead for a kid ND has to get, has too. Sorry I'm not trying to bash ND recruiting but they are just on a different level right now and it involves ND kids that's why I brought it up. Ya I am a little jelly, it's impressive.

Not at all but when you continually miss at that position I think it raises a level of concern... Max Redfield was our last big time safety recruit so I think missing on Pryor is more of a shrug of the shoulders type of miss, I dont know about you but I was pretty excited about landing a 5 star safety from Georgia. Can we find playoff caliber safeties, sure but ND has proven that isnt an easy task for them so yeah this is huge deal in my book

Oregon Ducks S Reggie Daniels was the #23 S in the country and he played pretty darn good ball. Good enough to help his team to the playoff.

Ifo Ekpre Olomu was the #17 CB coming out. Erick Daragan was the #22 ranked S.

We don't need to go through this everytime this happens. There is talent everywhere. It really stinks losing talent like this, especially guys that are fits for ND, but its not the end of the world and definitely doesn't doom ND.

Lucky I'm not saying if ND doesn't land Pyror it's another 8-5 year I'm trying to say if you wanna play playoff football you need to land kids like this who not less then a week ago was on commit watch for ND. I think it's called getting out worked sure we have an awesome invasion today but just look at the players OSU has on campus right now. There Friday night lights camp visitor list will most likely in insane. I'm done riding their dick it's just frustrating

All nice players, however you have to expect some sort of response when the insiders all stated Pryor was looking very pretty for us. He's a 5 star, saefty from the south, specifialyl Georgia, where we are trying to make headway so this isnt about other prospects, its the fact we were very close to landing him and OSU required one visit to totally erase that dream. I think your missing what GB and I are saying, it isnt that we dont realize there are other talented safeties out there its more realization how much better OSU is at recruiting than us currently.

And WTF does this have to do with Pryor? And even more so with what this means for ND's chances of getting to the playoff?

Guys i was just trying to stay positive and not start the Notre Dame sinking ship thing / the sky is falling scenarios. It stinks but we will be fine when we make the playoffs this year, it will all come together for us. Once again he will not make or break Notre Dame.

I'm very aware and in doing so you're insinuating that since we won't or haven't we can't. Therefore I took the luxury of explaining to you that another team that just made the playoff had a backfield filled with talent outside the top 10.

I hope we make the playoffs too but if that is what we are banking on to correct the ship then I am not sure I am in agreement.... ND must do more in the summer and spring to get kids on campus.... I know this has nothing to do with Pryor, my apologies... Big miss though

I really feel like you are missing my point. I think OSU out worked us for him and it has nothing to do with us getting into the playoffs. I'm saying ND needs to start landing kids like Pryor if they wanna get into the playoffs. It's not like it's a cake for safety recruiting for ND so when it seems like we got out worked for one that was on commit watch for us it stings but like you said there are other safety's in the class I guess.

And that team also had a heisman QB and an elite offense... I'm not taking away from your argument that you can win with kids that arent 5 stars however nobody can say this isnt a big miss for ND. Yeah, Pryor alone isnt going to affect our playoff run however having him would sure help in the future going forward, he is the type of player that we need to land on defense consistently if we are going to be taken serious.

GB c'mon bro this isn't that difficult to understand. I'm saying that there are a lot of guys that can help us get to the playoff not just Pryor. We have one that we thought would in Redfield and he's coming on his Junior year maybe better coaching gets him there.

Who was a 3 star talent, what about this don't you get. Did you watch tape of Mariotta and see 5 star because not many people did, obviously.

Here's the point, yes we need to get players like Pryor. The good news is he's not the ONLY ONE capable of playing at that level, period.
