Not a similar build, but the kids can stop on a dime like Riddick. He looks like someone is steering him with a video game controller.

It wouldn't break my heart if we don't get Calvin. I'm not convinced he's going to be very good in CFB. He has electric speed in open space but with his super slim body size I think he's going to get jammed up and I think he'll have problems blocking. I prefer Michael Young. He can do more things. I really think he's underrated and can and will help us as an underclassmen. I know we have holes in our recruiting class but I really like it. Some damned good OL and I love Ewell, Robertson, White and Adebo.

BGIF what's your tweeter handle? I wanna give you a follow so I can gain some life knowledge.

Calvin is a little better then Damian Alloway I think they are the same player and I won't ever think about him again if he doesn't chose ND

Watch your mouth! Jamire hasn't played a lick of D since Pop Warner. DA would stick ya and had 7 or 8 interceptions. He was the IE Honey Badger. He didn't have the offensive yards Jamire had but he had a lot more TD's... AND was the distant #2 option behind Stephen Carr. Jamire was Cathedral's #1 offensive threat and they were a pure air raid offense.

Offensively, you can't get a better comparison though. I'd still take DA first but since he didn't commit, I'll take JC, BUT if he doesn't hurry it up I'm gonna go all in on Berkeley Holman.

What you mean you can't come up with a better comparison?

Don't have a twitter account. I'd get in trouble quicker than Trump.

Just looking at 247 CBs and they have recently rolled in for Nebraska. Any specific reason?

More than anything, I have to imagine its the importance that they've placed on him the entire cycle.

ND, once again, slow played a prospect and didn't secure a commitment when it had the chance to do so. Instead choosing to wait out higher ranked (at least on the staffs board) prospects. When those players didn't choose ND, and Jamire became more of a "need" then we had an uphill battle in front of us. Rinse and repeat.

True, seems to happen every cycle and we end with too few recruits overall or with a deficiency at some specfic position.

He is planning on making decision at the game and he can't commit to ND due to needing higher SAT which he is taking later in January but he also isn't shutting it down... Just got an Oregon offer one he wanted so he is playing the game late

Here's how you play the recruiting game.

When Jamire wanted that offer and it was rumored that he'd commit, they should have done it IMMEDIATELY. Turns out his grades or classes aren't admissions ready yet. If they were to receive commits from recruits who passed admissions before Jamire did, you either let him decommit and he goes somewhere else or you decide to take an extra WR. (Which is why you recruit a 2-way like Adebo in each class.)

Offers should be worded:

Notre Dame Football is officially offering you a scholarship at this time. It is committable immediately regardless of you current academic status. It will become binding as soon as you reach all of our admission requirements outlined below for the Class of (ex) 2017 on or before Dec 20, 2016. At that time, you are free to decommit or continue on during your spring semester to fulfill the admissions requirements. At that time we may extend offers to other prospective student athletes in order to fulfill our roster needs but you will always have a roster spot at ND if you are cleared by Admissions for enrollment in the Fall of 2017.

Sincerely,

Coach ________________

Even if he does raise his SAT or ACT I don't see him coming here at all. I don't think ND has lead at any point in this recruitment besides the fact he visited but wasn't on ND's radar

Christian will have a good handle on his recruitment, but from what I've seen these last few days, the new Texas staff was smart to extend an offer and at least try and get him to use his last official on a trip to Austin. As far as football deciding factors go, Calvin should care most about fit. In fact, he should care almost entirely about fit. Whether or not he becomes a success in college will come down to two factors in my view: usage in the offense and his own toughness.

He's a little guy and 5-foot-9, 175 pounds looks a bit generous (that could be because he's standing in a forest of athletes out here). The smaller you are, the more explosive you better be and he's a match-up nightmare. He's creating separation with ease not just with speed, but with the ability to change direction and explode out of cuts. Find a way to get this guy in space, and he'll create more of it after the catch. Obviously, he should factor in as a punt returner no matter where he lands.

Synopsis: Explosive player, but these guys can sometimes disappear in college if they're not utilized correctly. I resisted the urge to make a Calvinism joke. Props to me.
