Actually it's a beautiful campus and an easy 2 hour drive from Atlanta.

Yes that is what he told me also. He told me the campus is so beautiful that Clemson designed their campus exactly the same.

Auburn is known as "the loveliest village on the plains." I've been to most all SEC campuses except A&M and Arkansas and Auburn and Ole Miss are my two favorites.

Received an offer from Auburn. That was apparently the offer that would sway him away from ND.

So now that I want him, ND isnt going to land him?

The real question is whether ND lands anyone... I guess technically Graham would still count as a new commit, but other than him, the class might be done.

Be lucky to hold onto the class. Even if a new coach comes in, many recruits will flee. And the new staff will have a short period of time to salvage class.

I think the biggest risk is Adebo, which is a shame because he is going to be a star.

10 CB's since yesterday to Auburn.

I always wondered why there was such a fuss about him going to a school with a sub-par track program? This kid's going to be in the Olympics in 4 years - Maybe for the US if he gets the proper training at an SEC level track program, if not he'll represent Nigeria like his parents did. Plus, they are both SEC grads (Bama and MSU)

Hard to feel you got beat for a recruit like this. I wish him well.

The offer the Tigers gave to 4-star receiver Noah Igbinoghene of Hewitt-Trussville (Ala.) appears to be a game-changer. Auburn immediately vaulted up the list and is the team to beat, according to multiple sources. Duke, which had been one of the favorites, will continue to recruit him but is said to have lost much of its optimism.

Not even a word about ND lol

So much for the optimism from a certain site before and after the visit but I get the Auburn offer was huge for him

I'm really concerned we're going to miss out on guys we want AND current recruits, staring with Adebo and Pouncey. I'm sure it's appealing in a way to flip to winning schools closer to home. I just hope they see how many awesome and performing underclassmen we have and that the coming years will be solid. I really believe they will be good years. I truly think Wimbush will be GREAT and our OL will be great. EQ, Sanders, Alize, McG, Nelson, Adams, Bars, Claypool.....lots of upside! Let's go ND!!

Pouncey and Adebo are who I think are the two biggest flight risks also. Holmes would be third I suppose.

But in a season like this I keep going back to how great the 2008 recruiting class was.

Holmes might be the most committed, he has said nothing or indicated the slightest that he is wavering

Kids understand the value of the Notre Dame degree and they are a pretty close group.

Jeter was the outlier and it wasn't a shock to see a decommitment.

I don't get the fascination that Adebo is going to decommit that the media is running with.

Well I hope the media is incorrect obviously.

Jake Brown was in Texas recently and spoke to Adebo's coach who said Adebo was all Irish.

You can't go 4-8 with everyone wanting the coach fired AND be lazy on the trail and land recruits. I'm honestly shocked that the class hasn't inploded more yet but I think it's coming. I expect at least 3 decommits and I don't know who else we land right now.

Late, lazy, poor overall targeting and tight with the offers. Thank goodness they had a core group of guys that love the school this cycle. I'm more worried about next year's core group staying together through the what if's of this off season.

You don't think you are overacting a bit?

The team is not 4-8 yet.

You are not on the staff so you don't know how hard the are recruiting players and how hard they are trying to hold on to the players hey have.

I know it's different circumstances, Charlie Weis pulled off a top 3 class in 2008 during the 2007 season.

Funny this kid is most likely headed to Auburn. Auburn was 5-7 in 2008 and according to rivals they had the number 19 class in 2009, which was better the Notre Dame's class that year. Auburn was 3-9 in 2012 and according to rivals they had the number 9 class in 2013, that's pretty good IMO.

All I'm trying to say is take a chill pill and relax Lax.

No, I don't think I'm overreacting at all. This was an extremely important recruiting class. We desperately needed OL, CB, S, WR, DL or we were going to have depth holes like we saw this year. We have basically fucked up or are in the process of fucking up every single one of those positions.

Also the Charlie Weis thing is a horrible comparison. He had something to sell... two very good years and everyone knew '07 was going to be bad because of the talent holes. Kelly has nothing to sell. 7 years of building this roster.

I don't think we really fucked up OL, unless you're expecting a decommitment

I don't think the OL recruiting is fucked. Currently 3 commits and if by chance they get one of the big fish they are good. If not, then pickup 2 projects with high ceilings I think you are good.

I don't see WR fucked either. Pouncey should stay at WR, Young, Holmes if need be can play WR and some people think Adebo's best position is WR. Get one of Martin or OSB and you are good.

I don't think CB is fucked either. Had a huge class this past year. Have Hicks and Adebo coming in. If you pickup Graham you are golden.

Safety we are kind of fucked as we only have Robertson. Really wish they could have landed Amari Carter, but there is still time. But we had a large class this past year at safety.

DL I 100% agree with you, we are fucked.

Basically I'm looking at it half glass full as opposed to half empty.

There is still a lot of time in this cycle. If the team could some how win the last two games and win their bowl game they will have a lot of momentum heading down the stretch of recruiting and into next season.
