So if I have this right, we now have a chance at Kareem and Clark!

No, just Clark. He's taking an OV for the USC game. We're expected to roll out the red carpet for him to drool on.

Scout: good visit, called ND a special place. Coaches think he could play early. Mom liked distance and academics. Will talk with family about other possible visits.

Personally, and I mean IMO, after all the talk about him simply committing on the spot this weekend I would call this a fail.

Not saying ND still won't get his pledge. Just my feelings.

I don't think that paraphrased report is enough to make a judgment on.

He just decommitted from Alabama.

Taking other visits to be sure about his decision is probably the best thing for him.

You could also say the fact he is considering NOT taking other visits shows it went well.

One report is not enough to base how the visit went anyway

Hope we made a good impression and BK can have a solid impact visiting him this week

This is from another interview and is a little more definitive:

When asked about his trip to Notre Dame and the potential for a commitment Kareem stated "Eff that place. It's cold and has ugly girls. I'm out."

*He didn't really say that
. I made it up.

According to 247 the Visit went well and both parents are on board. Spent time with Elijah Taylor, Jerry Tillery and Jaylon. Also hung out with Hayes.

BK is a good closer if he visits Khalid this week ND could get a commitment.

Concur. BK wouldn't go for the close if he didn't like ND's chances.

Brian Kelly doesn't pressure kids to commit he never has. I think a lot of players respect that and let them make their decision where they are ready to not get caught up in the moment. Kudos to BK on this

ISD just put out a premium article on his visit and his Mom sounded really impressed.

Could this be why we didn't get the "commitment before they left campus" this weekend? Kelly says, "Go home and think about it and talk it over with your folks, and I will come to your house this week and if you want to commit, you can do it then."

Was trying to give you a second chance. Guess you didn't realize how absurd it was to consider his visit a fail because he didn't commit on the spot.

Thank you for caring about me to give me a second chance but I'll stick to my original comment.

Was failure too strong of a word...perhaps. Disappointment pry fits it better but I'll own up to my words.

Strong consensus was he'll commit while on his visit. Reporters more in the know than us stated this and said that if he makes it out of the weekend not committed then other schools have a good chance to jump in.

This is what I base my opinion of the failure/disappointment that he didn't commit although despite that it does sound like he still will commit to ND which I also stated in my OP

Good day sir.

That's not happening.

I believe Quiet Period runs through Nov 29 (roughly the end of the season) and contact is NOT allowed aside from Official Visits on the college campus. Hence, a Kelly in-home next week would be a violation. Telling him to "Go home and talk it over with his parents and let us know is more likely".

It's been widely reported that BK will be recruiting in Michigan and Florida during the bye week

At high schools, not in homes.

During a quiet period, a college coach may only have face-to-face contact with college-bound student-athletes or their parents on the college’s campus. A coach may not watch student-athletes compete (unless a competition occurs on the college’s campus) or visit their high schools. Coaches may write or telephone college-bound student-athletes or their parents during this time.
