Yeah, that's usually never a good thing. It usually means the kid swaps schools multiple times.

This may be a unique case. With a kid going to Coral Gables High School and holding an offer from Miami, he probably has a ton of peer pressure pushing him to Miami. Now he has a ND offer and realizes there are some big time options for him outside of Florida.

He won the Florida State 100m title, running 10.44.

I saw that. I also saw that he was recently clocked at a 4.52 in the 40.

So he takes a little longer to get the gears going?

97 speed, 84 acceleration in ncaa football? Haha

Kid's a student of the game. I love that he chose Gale Sayers when pressed to compare his running game to someone else.

One of the fastest prospects in the country for the 2016 recruiting cycle- Coral Gables (Fla.) running back and Miami commit Amir Rasul, described his commit to the Canes as "not too strong" today during an on-site interview at his school, adding that he is going to visit Notre Dame (No. 2) and South Carolina (No. 2), which round out his top three, this summer.

The 6-foot, 200-pound Rasul is a legit 10.43-second 100-meter dash track star and may even have more upside in that sport.

Rasul added that he would like to add offers from Arizona, LSU and Nebraska to go with his current nine.

Rasul is a three-star prospect with an 0.8333 247Sports Composite rating.
Speedy Miami commit will see others

In His Own Words: Amir Rasul - From The Gridiron To The Track

In His Own Words: Amir Rasul - From The Gridiron To The Track

As a two-sport student-athlete, I never really have an “off-season". Some of my comrades in the sports world understand this quite well. However, I have grown to understand my body and how to calm it by not thinking so much about my next competition. I can usually accomplish this by sketching or researching some issue on the Internet. Occasionally, I'll pop open one of my historical literature or facts books and read a few chapters. I relish vacations and use long weekends to relax and regroup. This is very important as I transition into my junior track season.

I must begin this track season with thanks to God for a successful football season this past Fall. I remained injury-free while rushing and receiving for a total of 956 yards. I scored 15 touchdowns and received Second Team All-Dade Honors. Blessings galore! In addition, I currently have several scholarship offers from some of the nation's greatest universities. Speaking with college coaches and receiving scholarship offers are humbling experiences. These experiences have given me added encouragement to excel in the classroom as well as on the field.

My goal this track season is to maintain my current weight of 204lbs while dropping my 100m and 200m times. This will take serious effort! My normal sprinting weight hovers around 192lbs. I have challenged myself to use my weight for more strength and power on the track. My coaches are teaching me how to use my size to push out of the blocks and enter into a quick and effective drive phase. During practice, I've had to adjust certain techniques of my race such as block positioning. Practice. Practice. Practice.

My diet adjusted this year also. During the winter break, my mom convinced me to try a kale smoothie. The green liquid alone made me turn my head. However, I decided to give it a try. I was not immediately impressed by its flavor, but it wasn't so bad. The bitterness was masked by the blend of apples and pineapple chunks. This natural smoothie was a great addition to my diet because it makes me feel lighter and gives me a boost of energy. However, I wouldn't recommend it directly before a meet!!

Let's get this track season started! May each of your reach your personal goals this year.

Definitely a student of the game if he knows who the "Kansas Comet" is.

He trains at a gym called Idolmaker it is owned by my uncle. The U lied to him about recruiting other Backs. So he de committed. He's pretty bummed about the situation and hasn't been in the gym for Bout a week. He's around a few FSU recruits and one current FSU player. So I'm sure they'll be in his ear.

Does have interest in Us but he has never been north and is "nervous'" about the weather.

He really loved Alford, so he's looking for OSU to come knocking

Edit : mom ran track at FSU...so there's that.

I think Rasul is a little overrated. I think he could be a good back in college, but right now, he is a really fast kid and only that. He doesn't have the vision you want to see from a RB and lacks the a great build to improve on. There isn't a lot of film of him catching the ball, so slot or simply catching the ball out of the backfield is questionable too.
