Staff visiting today. Told Loy that an offer from ND would be "unreal." Oddly someone already predicted Stanford for him though I haven't found a connection yet. Also said he will likely camp at ND this summer.

Have to believe that a prediction like that would mean that this kid definitely cares a good deal about academics...Can only help us in the long run!

Spoke glowingly about ND in Loy's article, said Booker told him to call back today and he hopes they will offer today. Loy puts Stanford and ND, 1 and 2 early. Kid is very academic focused it seems. Still set for camp like GITF posted.

His uncle graduated from Stanford, that's the connection, and he is very serious about academics as STL said. We could be a very real player.

Virginia is for lovers.

And talented football prospects that have popped more and more onto the radar over the past decade to Virginia Tech's chagrin.

What do you not understand....? The copyrighted state slogan or the fact that Virginia/Carolinas were at one time quite undervalued by recruiting services and Virginia Tech raked tons of unheralded 3:s: talent with seemingly no competition that was actually more like 4:s: talent as it is now recognized?

Yeah, I guess for someone who hasn't grown up seeing the ads/signs/commercials the first part makes probably zero sense.

Virginia is for Lovers - Virginia Is For Lovers

It's like "Pure Michigan" except that Tim Allen is trying to cover up the fact that the natives are incestuously bred.

Wants to decide in January or February per 247, most likely will be Stanford.

Not sure why we haven't offered

We are way behind the ball on 2015 recruiting. I wonder if this is a strategy of the staff... I mean, these other schools are offering kids who have only play 2 seasons of competitive football... how on earth can you even really tell if they will be good/bad by the time they're seniors unless they're one of the rare true 5:s: level players.

Still, it'd be nice to not be completely passing on all of these talented CBs/others. And I'd especially like to see some more 2015 QB offers.

Moved up 68 spots in the 24/7 composite rankings to #98. Stanford is still the early team to beat.

Honestly, this guy and Cole from MI should be offered tonight.

Both should've been offered a year ago. Makes no sense. Great players from areas where you're not trying overcoming a lot of obstacles.

Can we sign a petition to have push an offer into affect? Or maybe Fister can offer them?

Hasn't been offered but doesn't hold it against ND. Is unsure if he'll visit without an offer or wait until we offer. He admits that he really wants to get on campus and we really want to get him on campus. Really likes Stanford but backed down from calling them his leader. We'll be in his top group as long as we offer at some point. We'd move into top 6 with Stanford, LSU, Tenn. Mich. and South Carolina if offered. I think it'll come down to Stanford, Mich., and ND if we offer. He's friends with Randolph and I think his recruitment goes the exact same way. ND and Stanford are equals as far as academic and football but ND is closer, we win. Something has to happen soon though.

Truer words have never been spoken. This kid isn't buried in the SEC or out West, and it sounds like going to a top school is actually important.

I remember him saying this but this was from a little bit ago. Tj in response to where Garrett stands in term of an offer.

Taylor is still being evaluated amongst the CBs nationally, a number of whom we like a lot and already are involved with to a fair or better degree. But probably more likely that he'll be evaluated and assessed as a "cover Safety" type given his profile and skill set -- a group of prospects requiring further due diligence and recruiting as we transition somewhat to the BVG-preferred coverages and schemes and packages. He could be in the mix here shortly, but still TBD.

Michigan homer thinks they lead now after his visit and it sounds like they're pushing him to speed up his decision process.

If academics and football are equally important, I'd rather go against scUM than Stanford. That of course is assuming we offer.

with an offer list like he has...unless he's absolutely madly in love with ann arbor i'd tell them to shove it and i'll make my decision when i'm ready.

I'm still just really, really hoping he makes it to camp in June.

One thing Michigan does GREAT is early pressure recruiting. They're shit at everything else.
