I guess I'm missing something on the 'Baratti's done so we must get another safety'. Wasn't Baratti a Sr? With a 5th year option?

If he were a sophomore or something, I'd get it, but a 2015 safety likely won't be playing until Baratti's gone anyways.

No. Baratti was a '12 recruit, making him a junior.

Good looking athlete. This is your typical under the radar kid who really blossoms as a player in his SR. year.

Don't think his hips are fluid enough for DB based on that video. I'm not kelly though so what do I know. Good ball skills and a pretty big frame. Maybe a WILL OLB?

Well a safety doesn't have to have the hips that a CB needs.

Nice smooth ATH, most recruiting him at WR. We are at S. Probably lower on the list of potential S's but some solid long term potential. Reminds me of Procise.

Jennings Focused on Recruiting

After juggling so many things during football season, Gary Jennings is ready to focus on recruiting.

“It’s much easier keeping track of things,” said the Stafford (Va.) Colonial Forge wide receiver. “I can just focus on just this.”

Although the Eagles fell short just two games away from a state title, Jennings says they were able to take a lot from the season.

”It’s always disappointing when the season ends, but I felt we had a great season even though the outcome was not what we expected.

“I feel like I progressed a lot physically and mentally as well,” Jennings added. “I felt like I was able to make more plays offensively and defensively. I felt like my game got a lot better.”

Jennings is now ready to learn a lot more about college programs. The three-star wide receiver is planning to take his remaining official visits over the next month. First stop for the Eagles playmaker, Notre Dame.

”It should be a great experience getting up there,” said Jennings about his upcoming visit to see the Fighting Irish this weekend. “The banquet should be fun to see and getting around the campus should be a fun experience to see.”

Jennings who has already taken an official to see Wisconsin, has his eyes set on two more visits in January.

“I don’t have any set dates, but I know I will be headed to West Virginia and UVa in January.”

Both Virginia and West Virginia have continued to show Jennings interest-with UVa offensive coordinator Steve Fairchild and Mountaineers wide receiver coach Lonnie Galloway making in-home visits on Tuesday night.

“They went well. They were able to pop in and answer any questions that were lingering out there… talked about what official dates and just getting me up there with the other players.”

Jennings is excited that he will finally have time to research every school, especially after Wednesday night’s news concerning Wisconsin head coach Gary Andersen leaving the Badgers to coach at Oregon State.

"He's a great coach," stated Jennings after the news broke out. "I guess I'll be informed more later by theircoaching staff."

“When asked how this affects his recruitment and where the Badgers might stand Jennings added, "it's a variety of reasons why I like Wisconsin so I would say that he's a big one. Like I said he's a great person and coach."

Jennings hoping his next few visits will help him make his decision.

“I have not narrowed it down too much, but I will narrow it down after I take those officials,” he said. “(Looking at) just how I would fit scheme wise, just the overall feel of the university and other factors like family feel and things like that.”

Scout: Jennings Visits Notre Dame

"It went well," said Gary Jennings about his recent trip to South Bend. "It was pretty cool getting out there. I got to see a lot of things."

"It's just a really good program," added Jennings. "Everything is really organized, even their practices-they were very upbeat and had a lot of energy to it. It was just a great environment to be around."

The Stafford (Va.) Colonial Forge wide receiver took his official visit to Notre Dame over the weekend. Jennings was impressed by the environment created by not only the Irish staff but by the other recruits on the visit as well.

"I think it was the largest group they had come up this year," stated the three-star wide-out. "I got to talk to them about recruiting and other stuff in general so it was pretty cool."

The visit also provided a reunion of sorts for Jennings. The 6-foot-2, 190 pounder was hosted by former Woodberry Forest linebacker Doug Randolph.

" I actually knew him when I went to Collegiate School back in Richmond. It was pretty cool, I hadn't seem him in a while."

But the weekend was also about learning more about his potential role at Notre Dame. Many schools are recruiting Jennings on the offensive side of the ball, however, Brian Kelly and his staff see him as a defensive back.

"I got to sit in a defensive meeting. Just talked to the coaching staff abut the scheme and the university in general," Jennings explained. "They mainly stressed to me the need they have at safety. They don't have many returning next year and they said that is what they need. It makes it very transparent, and it gives me a very clear idea what they want me to do there. "

Jennings, who played offense and defense for Colonial Forge, is still weighing his options on where he sees himself fitting in at the college level.

"They said I'm also a great wide receiver, but they have a lot of receivers returning, so it's not their need. I feel like I have an offensive mind, however, I am very able to play defense as well."

Jennings has two more officials set for January: West Virginia and Virginia. However, he is also keeping an eye on the coaching situation surrounding Wisconsin. Jennings took an official to Madison earlier in the fall, but after Gary Andersen's departure, he is trying to figure out the next step.

"I've been talking to my recruiting coach, coach Beatty up there. I am just trying to stay informed as much as possible throughout that process," "He said he was going to be there, so that is a better situation if all the coaching staff were leaving. I guess I'll just stay tuned."
