Scout: finished his ucla visit and their staff feels they have a great shot at landing him. Basically both see it as ucla or nd. Could announce anytime, anna thinks within the next month.

Have they been after him as long and hard as we have?

First interview I've seen since his visit. From his rivals interview nothing ground breaking and not overly positive. Said that he didn't have a very good relationship with Mora but spent a lot of time him and feels he does now. Really liked the family feel and positive attitude even after a loss. Made this statement "obviously it's LA so it's a good trip overall but what really stood out is team chemistry." Was being recruited by Rosen while on the visit. "As of right now I like both schools but I definitely want to keep my options open."

Going forward he isn't ready to name a leader and will look to take more visits. A&M, Baylor, Ole Miss, ASU, and Oregon are on the list of potential visit destinations. Says that whenever he knows he'll announce it.

-good news is it doesn't sound like UCLA got the best of us here like they might want us to believe.
-bad news it doesn't sound like he's ready to shut it down either. I think we need to get Bussey on campus.

Yep, I love Soso and he's my first choice, but Nick Broussette is a boss of his own and if Soso is soso, I'd be pumped to lock up Nick and shut it down.

THIS. He would be electric in our offense. Soso has more of the "total package" and is the #1 target for a reason, but Bussey could be a terror in Kelly's spread. Broussette is also really good, but I'm not getting my hopes up there.

Per TV the word being used as recent as this morning was Soso is "torn" between ND/UCLA. The talk is that he wants to take other visits but BGI doesn't think that really leads to anything. Its UCLA/ND in a tight race with both Loy and Wiltfong still liking the ND. Reasons are Soso and his parents comfort level with ND as well as trust with Alford and Cooks.

Give it time for the UCLA visit to wear off. As a little time passes I think he'll see that ND is where he belongs.

I always just assume now that UCLA beats us in recruiting. It will be a pleasant surprise if they don't land Soso.

Wait until the end of the year to see what UCLA's record is. With Mora and his DC arguing on the sidelines last weekend, stability at ND may be the key to winning this race.

C'mon Soso...you're next to ND!

brousette still has multiple visits he wants to take too. If one is going to beat hte other to the punch it would be Soso, IMO.

Confused. Is this bad reporting, or are we not giving A&M the respect we should on this? I thought it was ND and UCLA with A&M trying to get into it.

Alford is our ace in the hole.

Need Wimbush and Hoge to put some work in here.

Honestly think Guyton could be our biggest asset here since A&M tried to pursue him as well. Future teammates are great, but there's a reason we have kids from FL and TX host recruits from FL and TX: it takes some convincing to believe that Saban, Miles, Muschamp, Sumlin, Mora, etc are overplaying how "harsh" life at ND is.

Dude is a badass. Plays stiff competition and puts up video game numbers every single week. Even if he played against a team of grandmas in wheelchairs those stats would be impressive.

Really hope we land him.

Watching this Alabama v Texas A&M game I see a lot of TJ Yeldon in his game. Anyone else?

That's exactly who he reminds me of cuts like a scat back but can run big when necessary. He is a better receiver than Yeldon though

Agree, both taller backs with very good feet and lateral agility. Soso is going to have to add some beef to get to Yeldons level of physicality

I'm thinking he can and will get up to 220 and still maintain his agility

Soso Jamabo and Jalen Guyton will be on the field together, when Allen(8-0) takes their number 1 Texas ranking to Plano West(7-1) this Friday night. Plano West's only loss has been to Plano East - 17-14. Earlier this year, Allen beat Plano East 42-3.

Allen is on another level. If you beat a football team coached by Tommy Knotts, you are for real, and they beat Dutch Fork 58-53 early this season.

Considering heading over to this game Friday night. Should be a wild scene. If I make it over I'll report back!
