I am not sure if staff ready to accept his commitment. Otherwise I believe he would already be Irish. Staff still looking at other QBS IMO. Maybe another Bradon Dawnins situation?

8/31/13: Going to U of Iowa game vs. Northern Illinois

I agree with you GBDomer: I'm starting to think that the staff isn't quite ready to accept his commitment or he would have by now, it seems as though he's starting to look around more

Very True, my lil brother is on the frosh team and last saturday vasity scrimmaged after frosh. I stayed for a bit, he didnt look all that impressive, but he is super tall, very skinny though but young, so he has plenty of time to put weight on and enhance his skills but he is all ND if we want him. Ill check out some vasity games this year see if he improves

I think Jack has the potential to be a very good QB and he seems like a great kid but he needs to add some serious strength. I just watched his rivals 5 star challenge highlights that II has of him and he is much skinnier than I thought. And the statements about his weak arm were noticeable even from just some short clips. With that said he's young and has a lot of time to gain that strength. Kelly is seeing flashbacks of Tony Pike.

Or Tommy Rees

Personal opinion is they bring in Jack along with another prospect more than likely somebody thats better or maybe can compete earlier.

I just read on the BGI board that Jack will be playing against Crete Monee tonight. This should be a very good test for Jack. Wiltfong commented saying that the Crete defense flies around and has a lot of size and speed for a high school team. Both teams are 3-0.

He went 9-27 85 Yds 1 TD 1 Int vs. Crete-Monee in a win...

Also their field goal kicker may be the real target to get he went 5/6 with FGs from 34,37,40,42, and 50 yds out

You joke but that kicker is getting serious looks at big time programs

Not trying to trash the kid but his arm strength is Reesesque...

I will never trash a kid because he is a much better athlete then me. But if he is the only QB we bring in next year I will flip a tit. 2015 is loaded!

I'm sure he's a very nice young man. I just don't want him signing with ND next year. I hope he does well somewhere else.

Yea his visit to Illinois is considered a Unofficial and he also had a coach visit from scUM...

Through 9 games, and what I believe is the whole regular season here are Beneventi's stats.

Wins: 6
Losses: 3

122/218 56%
1303 yards
7 TD
9 INT

Needless to say I would not mind if this kid doesn't cash in his scholarship offer...

He really needs to add some weight. Eat 4-5k calories and 200grams of protein a day and hit the weights hard. I actually like him as our 2nd QB next year.

He's a junior so all of his visits are unofficial.

Great size, but the arm strength is questionable at this point. Hopefully weight and strength help this. At this moment, not sure if he is a high level D1 quarterback. I understand he has a great offer list but there are a lot of questions, physically, that still need to be answered. I love my Illinois guys going to ND, but not sure on this one. I hope I’m wrong and will be the first to admit to it if I am.
