If you're into the 40 Year Decision agenda for recruiting, here's the poster.

Dude really put his body through a lot to help the team and still only got a handful of starts
he was advised to get the knee replaced straight after his last season by ND medical staff so he must have been in awful bother with it since he got the replacement. His injury list from his nd football career is like something you'd see from a war vet:
broken elbow, muscle tears in both pecs, a torn labrum, a broken nose, a broken ankle and three surgeries on his left knee

Good for him.

My brain refuses to believe someone that frame was was a D1 offensive lineman. One of my low key favorite players of the Kelly era.
The OL guys I Played with in I-AA played their last game in November. By March they looked like regular students. It was truly incredible how quickly they transformed. Mind you, at that level, you're finding DL in HS, redshirting them and turning them into OL. Still, dropping 60-80 lbs from late fall to early spring isn't natural.

He looks like he weighs about 185 in that picture which is a great way to rehab from knee replacement surgery. Some doctors don’t even do it on overweight patients

Ouch! Hope the rest of his life is pain free.
