Love this kids vision and speed but what is up with all these top RB's being interested in ND? We don't use them except to pass block. Interesting

BGI has long stated Jordan had some work to get done in the classroom. Per Wiltfong he has worked hard and they feel he could sign in February if he chooses ND.

Jones > Cronkite > every other viable option IMO.

I don't think this takes into account that Cronkrite could play Safety, or at least his 2014 highlight types indicates he could. His versatility puts him on par with Jones for me, especially considering we could lose a player before signing day. I'd rather take them both, let the chips fall and all of that.

Per. Loy it sounds like Cronkite has become the #1 viable option at RB. It also sounds like the academics are in order and we expect him to be able to enroll if he so chooses. Working in our favor is that UL has 5 RB's committed and WVU has 2 already so space is tighter at those schools.

So Loy is buying that Jones is a silent to USC?

He didn't say whether or not he thinks he is a silent or not. He basically is saying that his sources capitulated that Jones will be choosing USC next weekend. Both Farrell and Loy have spoke with Jones in the last week and both have been told by Jones that he hasn't decided yet.

I'll take Jordan Cronkrite, actually West V has 3 RB's in the 2015 class already.

Loy has stated in the past that some of those RB's will not end up at that position, his article states there is 2 RB's in WVU's class. I was just going off his article and what's he's said in the past.

Wow...Just got done watching his film, and label me impressed. He looks bigger than 5'11 195 so he can very easily get up there in size. Good frame. He has good speed, and very fluent in his movements, but good lord, his juke moves are on another freakin' planet. I'd still rather have Jones, but him and Adams will definitely suffice. Good rebound if he commits.

I like him as much as Jones. Would be excited if we land him.

They're similar, and both are doing so against great competition, TX and south FL. I think Jones has a bit more of a 2nd gear, so he can get more separation in open space, and runs through holes harder. Cronkrite has better controls, and just effortlessly jukes out of peoples way, and while he doesn't hit the hole as hard as Jones, he's harder to take down. So, very similar, and the more I watch him, the more I like it. Adams could be great as well, if he can get his weight up and stay healthy.

I like him. They run a lot of inside plays, and he's not timid hitting the hole. How close is he to committing? Or should we stop jinxing ourself w/ RBs?

I think he should pop soon, but let's go ahead and play it safe.

I love Cronkrite. He is a different runner than GB/TF/Adams. Would be nice to have a bigger back that likes contact!

I don't really see an explosive player. I think you bring him in as an athlete and let it work out from there. I doubt he would be a full running back at the college level but would be a good screen back, end around type guy,or a back you motion to then slot.

I'm not sure how you make that analysis. He hits the hole hard on inside zone plays and then hits another gear at the 2nd level, with the ability to make people miss.

Am I correct in believing that our main competition for this kid is West Virginia and Louisville and both already have multiple RBs committed?
Seems like a fight we should win, no?
