don't know why yeargin would need to tell the coaches, does he tell them everytime he goes to the potty.
not worried about him flipping and if he does so what as long as we land kolin hill.
When will the NCAA stop the insanity and institute an early signing period. Basketball has one. We would see how serious a player is in his verbal commitment.
I think we would find a lot less kids verballing early in the process.
That is a horrible and stupid comparison. It is more like being engaged/girlfriend and going on a date with another girl.
Lose Yeargin, get Morgan, Sykes and Hill and I'm more than happy with that trade.
Was kind of wondering why we've been offering ALL the DE/OLBs. Maybe the staff was concerned this might happen and started lining up fallbacks.
That said, based on those quotes from two weeks ago this doesn't feel like a done deal to Clemson so much as evaluating options. Nothing wrong with that. Has he used his OV to us yet?
Its funny since before even clicking on this thread earlier, I was just thinking that we haven't had any talk of any of our commits looking elsewhere and that's very rare for any school.
I want everyone who has committed to stay here, since I see the value there, but we only have 3 scholarships available right now (including McKenzie and 4 5th year guys in QB Hendrix, G/T Lombard, LB Moore, and S Collinsworth) and some very good recruits still available (some at even more necessary positions such as DE, NG and MLB). So I can't say that I would be very mad at losing RYIII but he is a good player.
I read these posts and I just laugh now....
When he committed:We got him!! Playmaker! Gonna be so good in this D!! Can't wait!
Visits Clemson: Ehhh...I'd trade him for so-and-so. You could argue that so-and-so is a better prospect on film....etc.
Hilarious. Really.
And this dude is about as close to the total package as it gets. Has frame to really become a dominant one. Could be a Mario Williams type with some weight room work.
Let's not kid ourselves with this guy. He's a big time get
We have 6-7 schollys available. The working number for this class has been 24-25.
Yes, he OV'd for the USC game.
Awesome. So he got to watch our offense in its fullest glory, while missing Clemson getting rocked by FSU.
With the premise of Andrew Hendrix, Christian Lombard, Kendall Moore, and Austin Collinsworth coming back for 5th years, counting Isaiah McKenzie, Richard Yeargin III as commits and counting Stephon Tuitt as coming back for senior year we would only have 3 scholarships remaining if no one transfers out.
I just made a post about it: http://www.irishenvy.com/forums/1164992-post49.html
Why would he care about how the offense played in one half? The environment of the game and how the defense played in thats game (especially in the second half) should be very enticing to a defensive player. If that and academics doesn't do it for him, well to each his own and best of luck to him. He is a very good recruit.
I can see a case where Collinsworth may not come back.
We are loaded at the safety position.
Heading into the 2014-15 season, we'll have six safeties, who together, form a solid group of present and future contributors.
Baratti (3 years left), Shumate (2 years left), Farley (2 years left), Hardy (2 years left), Redfield (3 years left) and Turner (3 years left)
Collinsworth's scholarship may come to better use.
A weak attempt at humor. Settle down. He did, though, miss the chance to watch Clemson get rocked.
Obviously Notre Dame has a lot to offer. We'll see where he winds up. It doesn't sound like we're out of this by any means.

Oh whoops. Sometimes humor doesn't come off great on the internet. lol.
Yup, either way though we should be in solid position as a team.
Trying to follow the numbers by breaking down a roster chart is useless. Staff knows what the real numbers will be and it's common knowledge they will take 24 this year. We have 18 now. Izzy doesn't count since he hasn't qualified and likely won't. I can tell you for sure if Morgan, Elam, Luatua, Quick, Holley and JuJu want to come not a one of them will be turned away.
I would hope not.
Maybe we take on up to 24, but Im not 100% on that. We might if some players transfer(or get pushed out)/we take less than 4 5th year guys.
