I'm not a top end speed subscriber. With his vision and acceleration he can get the job done for sure. He is a beast

100% agree. Speed sin't everything. Just ask GA3
Or Riddick. He's done quite well without "elite" speed. I'd gladly take another runner in his mold.
I agree with you. I was trying to say that right now GA3 has nothing but speed and it hasn't gotten him anywhere

The thing that frustrates me with fans here is that if a kid doesn't become a stud in his 1st year at a position they peg him a "bust". GAIII is competing for PT with 2 seniors in his 1st year playing RB at the college level... I'd wait till next year to call him a bust.
But I'd like to get this kid.... He and Mahone can play thunder to Atkinson and Carlisle's lightning....
He's a true sophomore that contributes to our team. He returns kicks and gets snaps at RB. The dude has two seniors in front him, what did you expect to get from him?
Does no one think that Cam McD will ever get significant snaps for us at RB?
I don't expect GAIII to be the primary back next year.
Im
Mahone, Carlisle, Cam, or a freshman will be the everyday back, imo. GAIII will have a role similar to his this year, but with more touches.
Temper the euphoria. Greg Bryant will be shopping down a different aisle. Academic requirements might be a hurdle. Notre Dame is a world apart from Oklahoma, Auburn, and South Carolina.
McDaniel has huge leg drive. When he is collared watch his legs --- not just churning but effectively boring out more yards. He also has, in my opinion, better vision than any other ND back [maybe equal to Riddick]. I don't know how his blocking is, but he is a warrior and I have to believe that that's OK. I don't know what his route-running and catching is like, but I bet it is in the Toma range.
I have said on this site before: Cam is slated to be the one clear muff that the coaching staff will have. These other guys will pass the staff's eyetests and he won't really get his chance --- saddens me. Greg Bryant looks to me to have the perfect potential for a strong-running rip-the-line-of-scrimmage Kelly-type back, and if he signs will further add to Cam's difficulties, though perhaps more understandably so if he's as good as he seems he might be.
I was just expecting more of him because he has such a promising spring game performance. Now it seems like if he isn't given a 10 yard gap he can't get more than 5 yards. I know he is goig to get better, I just thought he would have a better year.
And by no means am I calling him a bust. I guess my expectations were just way too high
You're showing your age, arrowyan. You must not remember the Junior Jabbie domination in '07.
Lol. Who is Junior Jabbie?
