Don't know why people are assuming he's visiting or that we're a player here.

Because AA decommitted and that means everyone who says they are committed to a school could be lying and that means that we have a chance at every single player a coach or a current commit reaches out to. Right?

Michael Hutchings all he said was he was talking to the staff. Maybe they knew AA had questions. so they called up Hutch? Who knows I have a hard time believing Hutchings will visit.

Thanks for sparing the snarky attitude. I saw an interview with him not too long ago, and he seemed pretty firmly committed though he was talking potential visits. He's a talented guy. We'll be seeing plenty of him in the near future.

Right, Sapp said in Tunnel Vision that we are not recruiting Hutchings ... rumors that we were were a lot of smoke based on his interaction with our commits in San Antonio, but there was no fire.

Two reasons his name came up again:
1) speculation that we might go after him for real now that we have lost AA ... similar players as athletic LBs who can go inside or outside.
2) This Twitter convo, between a couple of guys who fancy themselves recruitniks:

Kyle O'Connor ‏@oconnorkyle
Nothing solid at this point but the void left by Anzalone could be filled in a big way.

I think they're talking about filling his scholarship, not his position. I believe they're referring to big Eddie V. Just my guess.

Completely agree.

ALLGATOR, serious question: how would you compare the quality of Florida's defense with LSU's?

I would do a lot of things to hope some day we have the play makers Florida has on defense. LSU too the depth is what separates us from Florida and LSU. I thought Florida had the best defense in the country this year.

Florida was pretty darn impressive, but I am constantly amazed by LSU's defense. They seem like animals out there.

That seems like an easy one ... aren't they of similar quality?

I don't know. I know they are both good, but the styles, coaching, schedule, etc. are different. I wanted to get a break-down.

This year Florida had a better secondary probably better depth in the front 7 than LSU. LSU had two amazing pass rushing DE's which helps the team get off the field on 3rd down.

The major difference between the SEC teams and teams in other leagues is depth on the Dline. Florida should have the best Dline in the country next year but they are still recruiting like they will have nobody.

Per Mike Frank ND isn't recruiting him at all. So basically no change from status quo.

This bums me out. But what can you do. He is a California guy and he is probably just solid to SC.
