No, Manti's class was Weiss' worst class. Te'o was the only 5 star I believe and there were a few gems like Theo, Cierre, and Tyler but I want to say that class wasn't even in the top 10. The 2008 class was #2 and even #1 on some services.

Agreed. It was in the mid-teens if I'm not mistaken.....13-15.

14th, per ESPN. And several of the top recruits (Evans, Stockton, EJ Banks) didn't much pan out - though a few unheralded gems emerged in Eifert, Riddick. Te'o was huge, obviously, and a good bunch of guys beyond him, but not exactly an all-time recruiting class.

Guy would seem to have a west coast dog in this fight...ie UCLA...if he were a Bama hack I'd laugh...

But, maybe EV REALLY likes those elephant jammies, and it has nothing to do w/ bama...

TIFWIW, but Christian over at ISD believes Vanderdoes will be Irish. He says he has talked to people 'close to the situation,' and got this sort of vibe from them.

That Farrell heard from a pretty good source on the West Coast that last night before Eddie went to bed that Notre Dame was the choice.
