From one of the best programs in Texas. Recently received an offer from ND. Rumored to be an early Oklahoma lean.

Oklahoma does suck. A preseason number 1? They are terrible. ND = National Champs 2011-2019!

This season he recorded 175 tackles, 4 sacks and 3 interceptions for Trinity High School.

He reports running a 4.6 in the 40-yard dash.

He's a hoss-a straight up hoss and only a junior. His numbers are amazing...

Of the Notre Dame offer, he commented "I'm really excited to have an offer from Notre Dame," Nance said. "An offer from them holds a lot of weight to me, because they don't just offer anyone. I plan on taking a visit up there sometime in the future - maybe this Spring or Summer."

Sounds promising.

I imagine his visit will consist of him walking into a small room...with Bob Diaco.

Says ND is recruiting him as hard as anyone right now. Family is life long Texas fan's. He is without a Texas offer.

Wow. How had I not seen this thread before. This kid is GOOD. And he looks like he would be a prototypical LB in our system.

I tried to find more info on him and ran across an A&M board where they were saying that they hadn't offered yet because of grades. They also thought there was no way he went to ND for the same reason. Anybody have any insight on this? I wouldnt think that we would offer a kid if we didnt think we could get him accepted.

Also, he mentioned long ago that he would visit. Has he commented on that recently?

He would be a killer pick up.

I don't recall seeing any grade/test info on him. Supposedly ND has more than 150 offers out there. ALL are conditional upon getting ND Admissions approval. Paddy Mullen was told he would have to improve his grades which he did as a HS senior and he eventually was approved. In '02 OL Aldo de la Garza was dying to get into ND. He worked his butt off according to article back then. Supposedly he retook classes to improve grades, tutoring, etc but in the end did not get ND Admissions approval and ironically ended up at Texas A&M. Who know how valid that A&M board comment it but IF he can't get in there ... .

Keep in mind ND is tougher accepting core course description than the NCAA Clearinghouse (and probably A&M) is. They may except the same math course (description) from one school but not accept it from another because experience has shown that the latter school overstates the coursework. ND wants you prepared to take calculus, as an example. If Algebra 1 and Introduction To The Handheld Calculator are the best math courses on your transcript you'll have a problem with ND Admissions. Also keep in mind these kids have a year to get the courses ND requires. A kid may have been on track in May of his Junior year but got deficient grades or dropped a course he needs for ND.

From some reason I remembered this kid. Is he committed somewhere else now? Have we called off the dogs? The kid is damn good.

Still not committed. ESPN shows high on USC-Baylor-Oklahoma

Don't know what interest ND has in him right now. My guess is they are letting him go and all guns aimed at Ifeadi.
