We heard this was gonna happen from II in the podcasts since January. Anybody think he can make the transition?

I can see that. Probably the position he should have played in college. And the Giants are desperate for OT help!

If he works hard he should be able to. He played Tackle in high school. And most recruiting services thought his best position was OT.

He said he'd never play OL like a year ago when asked. This will not end well.

same thing will happen with Tillery when he goes pro

Even if he flips a switch and becomes a good interior pass rusher? I agree with you, but I think that NFL teams would let him play D line if he really steps it up these next two years.

in the article that was just published about him switching he at least acknowledged he wasn't likely to make the roster on dline so he decided to give it a shot

No, but he said it. It was discussed during an interview with him pre-draft. I'll try to find it.

He was quoted in a Rochester paper recently, that he was excited about the opportunity to switch to OL, and he felt he would be able to succeed, as he has worked there before and been told he has the quick feet and hands to do well.

Glad he's changed his tune, but it sounds like it's to save face since he has no other shot on making the team. I can't find the article and I did search - so take it or leave it, but I remember him being interviewed and saying he disliked playing OL.

Funny what a few million bucks will do to a guy.

He has a track record of doing it. It's not necessarily a successful track record though

the guy is given no help by the GM in drafting/signing FA's. He's been doing alright with what he has been given. They had a basketball player at LT last year!
